It took me 3 tries to watch this movie on Amazon prime.
3 tries ,yet i couldn't go beyond half an hour of the movie.
The directors just took the script of War ,swapped plastic surgery (which btw was a concept i saw first in 2006 in saloni serial) with Deepika padukone's character and let the movie on auto play from there.
The controversy surrounding the movie has more depth than the entire story of this movie.
Don't start with the nonsense of "yet ,it is a monetary success" . People went to the theatres to see SRK on the big screen,that's all. That doesn't necessarily translate into a good movie. Remove SRK from the script and the entire movie falls flat. There was barely any story which could carry the movie on its own.

Horrendous movie tbh. Made on a very basic template which we all have seen a gazillion times. First half was full of forced komidi and dialogues most probably written by sajid farhad. And bhoi ka scene was written by bhoi himself. 2nd half a bit better... Still very dull. And surprisingly other than John, everyone else acted per square foot... Even dimple kapadia. Overall 1½ out of 10. 1 for John's acting and ½ for deepika's bikini.

I’m still surprised how the story worked. I came out of hall in interval depressed on how this star who’s made my childhood was again to flop. But I guess people just wanted love to win over hate and that’s the real story of Pathaan. Love over hate.
Despite Srk wave I still feel telugu and Tamil films will still hold its influence in Bollywood. It's only because of Yrf rest of all bollywood films are flop. Yrf is actually trying to save bollywood. After Salaar Leo and Pushpa 2 and Indian 2 Tamil and telugu films will still rule bollywood.
