Also there are so many singing shows of all kind on Korean tv. There is even one that is so famous that anyone can go to and enter. It is beyond famous and has been around for decades. Even some Kpop idols have gone on it before they were known. Speaking of which most singers especially Kpop idols have to go through a trainee period usually for at least 2 years maybe more. Many times they are even signed by the age of 12 -13 like Jungkook was from BTS ( unlike the other 3 vocalists who did not have as much training. Jimin for instance was a trainee for only less than a year and his background was as a dancer with no vocal experience whatsoever (he was the one who did the high notes and sings with head voice). (Jin also had no vocal background but no dance background as well.) The coaches work on breathing techniques more than anything since idols are expected to dance as well as sing all at the same time. The sad thing is they're only signed a 7 year contract usually to allow for the fact that they will have to go to the military before age 30. Also they are very into those high notes and expect them at all costs. I believe that sadly some of these other entertainment companies overwork their artist "idols" with no concern about the strain or damage that might be put on their vocal cords. A comeback after military can be quite hard to do. Many artists are discarded after their contract is up and military is over after almost 2 year stint. BTS's company BigHit Entertainment does things totally different and work hand in hand with BTS as one big family. Unlike most other companies BTS are allowed to write, produce and be involved in many other aspects of their career. Also amazingly they started as a hip hop and mainly rap group so that is another reason some of their vocal line did not have those years of training. Which makes it all the more amazing how incredibly good they are now which just gives credit to the extreme 12 -15 hour days in the beginning to get to where they are now!

It can be the most heart wrenching absolutely amazing vocals you will ever hear even though the tonality can at times be unfamiliar with this form of musical story telling it can even without understanding the words pull the emotions right out of you. There was a performance from someone who was still in her teens that sang so amazingly I will never forget it plus I loved that song that is a very classic Pansori song. both her parents were also fellow artists so she inherited all that passionate emotional vocals. Good points but right now, the contract every agency is max 7 years to avoid slave contract from the agency to their idols, it's a law after what happened to JYJ (to SM), before it's can be more years, or even forever. They can do contract again after the contract end if they wanna stay at the company, but they can leave after that if they want, so the idols at least have the choice too.
They all went through training, but it depended on their skills as well as continuous training after debut. They all try to improve themselves which is fantastic. Compared to some celebrities who once they get even a little bit of fame they think they don't need to work hard to improve themselves and their craft. It's ridiculous. We should all thank bang pd for training them hard and opening their minds to be better and harness their skills without killing them. He really loves them.

I LIKED BEFORE I WATCHED. I really like your comments and analysis.. Actually, some people said that BTS’s vocal line ( Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook) is weak compared to the rap line (RM, Suga, Jhope). They’ve improved so much and I’m so proud of that. Jimin (the one who does high adlib) is actually quite conscious about his voice. There was a time when his voice cracked, he blamed himself a lot. I wish he could see how rare men who can reach that high of a note. Jungkook has always been the main vocal. His voice is very versatile, good for voicing and blending. V and Jin as well. I love their voices, they have unique textures that can blend well together.

About your question related to the lightsticks: in K-Pop, every artist/group has their official lightsticks which have colours specific to the artist/group. Since BTS's fans are called ARMY, their lightsticks are called ARMY Bombs.

Please check out - BTS Best Live Vocals - You will get to hear some of the best vocals from BTS mainly the vocalists. Since there are many clips from their older more R&B type songs (many of my favorites) it will feature a bit more of their Main Vocalist Jungkook as well as the Lead Vocalist Jimin who was the one with the reddish hair with the head voice and who sang those high notes toward the end who you commented on.This is the reason I suggested this but it does definitely show newer clips with more vocals of both Jin and Tae, the other vocalists as well. Since everyone has improved so much more now they both have bigger parts to sing now but in the beginning Jungkook with his falsetto and JIMIN with his head voice were in charge of singing all those high notes. That video is actually doesn't show Taehyung much at all so it's actually a really poor representation of the 4 vocalists of the group. It mostly features Jungkook and Jimin's high notes. Hey, I really like your reaction videos! For your information, the lyrics for "Hold Me Tight" was written by V (one of the members/ actually the one on the right :D). Also the "glowing balls" (I was cracking up when you asked that xD) area Army Bombs which fans buy themselves and bring to the concerts. But not only BTS fans have them, there are for example the lightstick for the group BLACKPINK is a pink hammer, so many kpop groups have something for their fans. We, fans, have a soft spot for this song because it was the first one written by Taehyung. So, yes, the lyrics are symple. First, because Taehyung is an inexperienced songwritter and second because Taehyung really expresses himself like that: simple words, straightforward, pure language. It's my opinion.

Crystal Snow, Magic Shop, Fake Love, Butterfly, Spring Day, Begin, Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany, Euphoria, The Truth Untold, and Airplane pt.2 are all great songs with beautiful vocals. Each of these songs demonstrate the versatility of each member. Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany, and Euphoria are both done by just one of the seven artists. Their music videos are definitely worth checking out also. I definitely recommend all of these songs and maybe feature one in a video, but I mainly listed them so that you will be able to have the “Full” experience of BTS Vocal Team. Look up the history behind the group if you have time. It is quite a testament to their character. They are an amazing group, and truthfully they deserve all the hype and fame. Pure artistry from each member.
For your question about the "lighted balls"...they're Fandom items. Each group has a color or colors associated with them. There are also "Fan Chants" for the groups...usually the members' names. Plus, the parts where you hear the fans singing back to the members or singing a word here and there. They talk about the happy and very sad sides of love (i.e. "Let Me Know", "Butterfly", "Spring Day", "Outro: Tear"), about the strict South Korean society (i.e. "N.O") or problems detected in modern society in general (i.e. "Could You Turn Off Your Phone"), about the dreams and problems of (not only) young people (i.e. "No More Dream", "Tomorrow", "P.O.P" by member J-Hope) and about the importance of loving yourself and accepting and understanding who you are (i.e. "Fake Love", "Epiphany", "Answer : Love Myself"). But they also tell their personal stories, how they got into their music (i.e. "Hip Hop Lover", ), which difficulties or experiences they had in their lives (i.e. "Lie", solo by member Jimin, "Stigma", solo by member V, "First Love", solo by member Suga and espacially "The Last" and "So far away" which are very personal songs by member Suga who faced depression), while debuting with BTS (i.e. "We are Bulletproof pt.2") or with their haters (i.e. "Cypher pt.3 : Killer") and how they want to stay strong (i.e. "Cypher pt. 4", "Not Today", "MIC Drop"). FYI: I'm not sure where this concert is, but they perform all over the world. They have 5 sold-out concerts in the United States this year (plus they were just booked into Citi Stadium in NYC and tickets go on sale..today! I expect that will be sold out as well. Jimin for instance was a trainee for only less than a year and his background was as a dancer with no vocal experience whatsoever (he was the one who did the high notes and sings with head voice). (Jin also had no vocal background but no dance background as well.) The coaches work on breathing techniques more than anything since idols are expected to dance as well as sing all at the same time. The sad thing is they're only signed a 7 year contract usually to allow for the fact that they will have to go to the military before age 30. Also they are very into those high notes and expect them at all costs. I believe that sadly some of these other entertainment companies overwork their artist "idols" with no concern about the strain or damage that might be put on their vocal cords. A comeback after military can be quite hard to do. Many artists are discarded after their contract is up and military is over after almost 2 year stint. BTS's company BigHit Entertainment does things totally different and work hand in hand with BTS as one big family. Unlike most other companies BTS are allowed to write, produce and be involved in many other aspects of their career. Also amazingly they started as a hip hop and mainly rap group so that is another reason some of their vocal line did not have those years of training. Which makes it all the more amazing how incredibly good they are now which just gives credit to the extreme 12 -15 hour days in the beginning to get to where they are now!

It can be the most heart wrenching absolutely amazing vocals you will ever hear even though the tonality can at times be unfamiliar with this form of musical story telling it can even without understanding the words pull the emotions right out of you. There was a performance from someone who was still in her teens that sang so amazingly I will never forget it plus I loved that song that is a very classic Pansori song. both her parents were also fellow artists so she inherited all that passionate emotional vocals. Good points but right now, the contract every agency is max 7 years to avoid slave contract from the agency to their idols, it's a law after what happened to JYJ (to SM), before it's can be more years, or even forever. They can do contract again after the contract end if they wanna stay at the company, but they can leave after that if they want, so the idols at least have the choice too.

They all went through training, but it depended on their skills as well as continuous training after debut. They all try to improve themselves which is fantastic. Compared to some celebrities who once they get even a little bit of fame they think they don't need to work hard to improve themselves and their craft. It's ridiculous. We should all thank bang pd for training them hard and opening their minds to be better and harness their skills without killing them. He really loves them.

In KPop, groups usually design and release a light stick as part of their official merchandise. People going to concerts will either purchase the light stick ahead of time or at the concert. The BTS fan-base is called "Army", so their lightstick is called an "Army Bomb" (it's shaped like a bomb). You can google it to see what it looks like. The Army Bomb is pretty sophisticated. At a concert, BTS can actually remotely control the color of all the bombs in the venue via Bluetooth, to change all the bombs to a certain color, or make a rainbow in the stadium, or even spell out a word.

I LIKED BEFORE I WATCHED. I really like your comments and analysis.. Actually, some people said that BTS’s vocal line ( Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook) is weak compared to the rap line (RM, Suga, Jhope). They’ve improved so much and I’m so proud of that.
Jimin (the one who does high adlib) is actually quite conscious about his voice. There was a time when his voice cracked, he blamed himself a lot. I wish he could see how rare men who can reach that high of a note.
Jungkook has always been the main vocal. His voice is very versatile, good for voicing and blending. V and Jin as well. I love their voices, they have unique textures that can blend well together.

Please check out - BTS Best Live Vocals - You will get to hear some of the best vocals from BTS mainly the vocalists. Since there are many clips from their older more R&B type songs (many of my favorites) it will feature a bit more of their Main Vocalist Jungkook as well as the Lead Vocalist Jimin who was the one with the reddish hair with the head voice and who sang those high notes toward the end who you commented on.This is the reason I suggested this but it does definitely show newer clips with more vocals of both Jin and Tae, the other vocalists as well. Hey, I really like your reaction videos! For your information, the lyrics for "Hold Me Tight" was written by V (one of the members/ actually the one on the right :D).
Also the "glowing balls" (I was cracking up when you asked that xD) area Army Bombs which fans buy themselves and bring to the concerts. But not only BTS fans have them, there are for example the lightstick for the group BLACKPINK is a pink hammer, so many kpop groups have something for their fans.

We, fans, have a soft spot for this song because it was the first one written by Taehyung. So, yes, the lyrics are symple. First, because Taehyung is an inexperienced songwritter and second because Taehyung really expresses himself like that: simple words, straightforward, pure language. It's my opinion.

Crystal Snow, Magic Shop, Fake Love, Butterfly, Spring Day, Begin, Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany, Euphoria, The Truth Untold, and Airplane pt.2 are all great songs with beautiful vocals. Each of these songs demonstrate the versatility of each member. Singularity, Serendipity, Epiphany, and Euphoria are both done by just one of the seven artists. Their music videos are definitely worth checking out also. I definitely recommend all of these songs and maybe feature one in a video, but I mainly listed them so that you will be able to have the “Full” experience of BTS Vocal Team. Look up the history behind the group if you have time. It is quite a testament to their character. They are an amazing group, and truthfully they deserve all the hype and fame. Pure artistry from each member.

For your question about the "lighted balls"...they're Fandom items. Each group has a color or colors associated with them. There are also "Fan Chants" for the groups...usually the members' names. Plus, the parts where you hear the fans singing back to the members or singing a word here and there. about the strict South Korean society (i.e. "N.O")
or problems detected in modern society in general (i.e. "Could You Turn Off Your Phone"),
about the dreams and problems of (not only) young people (i.e. "No More Dream", "Tomorrow", "P.O.P" by member J-Hope)
and about the importance of loving yourself and accepting and understanding who you are (i.e. "Fake Love", "Epiphany", "Answer : Love Myself").
But they also tell their personal stories, how they got into their music (i.e. "Hip Hop Lover", ),

FYI: I'm not sure where this concert is, but they perform all over the world. They have 5 sold-out concerts in the United States this year (plus they were just booked into Citi Stadium in NYC and tickets go on sale..today! I expect that will be sold out as well. I believe it holds 40,000 people.) Since you liked Jimin's high note, I again urge you to check out Jin's "Awake". That song will bring you to tears. BTS’s seven members are divided into 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, though they occasionally switch roles (Jungkook, the one with the big circular decoration on his jacket who gets many lines, raps occasionally, and all of the rappers sing from time to time). The rappers are the one with pink hair (RM), mint hair (Suga), and J-Hope (he’s the one with short brown hair and the “Your embrace, your warmth, your heart” rap line).

Hope you aren’t feeling overwhelmed by all the response from ARMY - BTS’s fans - since we have a tendency to be a little much sometimes. I hope you listen to more of our boys soon - Jimin’s solo song “Lie” is very good, and the group song “Butterfly” is personal favorite.

Guys, just saying, if you are going to suggest a song for him to react to make sure it has evenly distributed parts, like in this video there was barely any tae and jin. and yes i know jungkook and jimin are the main vocalists but common dont "take the others for granted" they have beautiful voices as well and they deserve to be heard

the light sticks are called army bombs (army is the name of the bts fandom). each kpop group has their own offical fan name and light stick that they sell. some of the nicer/newer light sticks are bluetooth connected to they can change colors. or, in the past, fans have put clear colored bags over them to surprise the band with purple or rainbow lights. the 'sea of lights' from a band's light sticks is refered to as their 'ocean' so 'purple ocean' 'rainbow ocean' 'teal ocean' etc. i love the harmonies in this song.
