Who is here after Naughty Dog announced they are charging $70 for the remake of The Last of Us? They resold a remastered version 1 year after the original launched. Which you can play on a PS5 and still looks good today.
Hard, real truth: We're fucking old. There are people born in 2002 old enough to want to play the first Resident Evil but only buy digital games. If you are over 23 you are no longer the target demographic for videogames

Meh. Jeff's point is overstated, since when these remakes are released of various games, they are some of the best games that come out. It turns out a lot of the time, you can provide consumer a better experience by remastering games than by making new ones.

its hell of a lot better remaking games that old to HD than games from last generation all getting remastered. Jeff is in the minority of people who keep old systems up and running. 3 people from this podcast who hasn't beaten it. their lives are about videogames!!!! so we are part of consumerism if we want these old games updated despite the same people will buy blue ray versions of old movies!!!
I understand that Jeff hates the series and that’s his right. But this is one of those rare times where his bias overrides common sense. A lot of people didn’t own a GameCube or a wii, and thusly never got to play remake 1 unless they dick around with emulators. Having a modern release, especially on pc, was a good thing. It sold well and helped capcom realize that they could make horror work again in the series.
