- Antonov An-225 Mriya landing and taking off at Leipzig/Halle (LEJ) Airport in Germany on November 12, 2015.
Landung und Start der Antonow An-225 Mrija am Flughafen Leipzig/Halle (LEJ) am 12. November 2015 nach einem Tankstopp. Das größte gegenwärtig im Einsatz befindliche Flugzeug brachte Anlagen für die Gas- und Ölförderindustrie mit einem Gesamtgewicht von 190 Tonnen von Doncaster/Sheffield in Großbritannien nach Baku in Aserbaidschan. Die An-225 hat eine Flügelspannweite von 88,4 Metern und kann maximal 250 Tonnen zuladen.

Danke! Es war wirklich sehr voll. Auf dem Weg zum Parkhaus standen wir erstmal längere Zeit im Stau. Einen Holländer haben wir sogar getroffen.

ich hatte sie im Urlaub in den Osterferien am 10.04.2015 über Haddorf in NRW gesehen. Bin schier ausgeflippt, als ich nach genauerem hinsehen vor dem Kondensstreifen das doppelte Heckleitwerk erspäht hatte. Sie ist dort in Richtung Westen geflogen. Was für ein Anblick des (im Moment noch) einzigen Flugzeugs dieses Typs!
+Sebastian Neininger Es wäre klasse, wenn das zweite Flugzeug noch fertig gestellt werden würde. Dann könnten wir uns vielleicht noch viel länger an diesem Flugzeugtyp erfreuen. (Am 10.04. war die An-225 in Leipzig. Das war sie also sehr wahrscheinlich)

Spot on but the Russians destroyed her back in February 2022. The correct action was that they should have moved An-225 to Leipzig Halle where it can carry Leopard 2A4 later becoming Leopard 2A4V with Nozh ERA
Seeing it fly and remembering that it is gone, gives me the same feeling as when I listen to a singer and I remember they passed away... 💔

Everyone can simply google "biggest planes size comparison", but bigger does not equal better. the an225 beats all 3 of the planes you just listed in every single point. Those rear wheels must be taking a beating impacting the ground first and supporting all the weight for a short moment.
Not really, the plane is still moving and those wheels will not get all the weight untll the plane lands on all the wheeels horizontally.

The weight is concentrated towards the mid section or behind . The planes land on the rear wheels first so its fine
