Ok am I the only one who thinks that Madam Bo is a gender bent Bo Rai Cho. Think about it, both Bo Rai Cho and Madam Bo are associated with drinks; Bo Rai Cho with alcohol and Madam Bo with Tea. Bo Rai Cho was the dude who taught both Kim Lao and Lui Kang. In this timeline, Madame Bo teaching Kung Lao and Raiden. Idk that’s just my theory.

Its funny because liu is the only god on hes timeline, no mention of elder gods or gods to protect the other realms , maybe they are mortal now , how kronika survive ? She is outside time , Cetrion will be there at the end?
@@PHDavid2my theory is that this Kronika is from the past. Before the Shang Tsung we knew in MK11 killed her and stole her soul. Perhaps she projected her consciousness into Liu Kang’s alternate timeline before she died and gave this Shang Tsung his powers so that she can destroy Liu Kang’s New Era. It’s a long shot, but it’s the best theory I got.

I actually thought that this Shang Tsung from the very first trailer is gonna be from the alternate ending from the Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath DLC where you get to choose between Liu Kang and Shang Tsung in their endings. And i did not even expect to see Kronika back! I mean if it's still her of course cause we still don't know precisely who she is. A lot of people did not like the idea of bringing her back at all. And not gonna lie, i was kinda hoping that this Shang Tsung we saw in this, and the first CG trailer is gonna be from that alternate ending timeline where he beat Liu Kang and claimed the hourglass by himself. I honestly thought that would've been so cool! But regardless, i'm still looking forward to this game. And so far, i really enjoy the 1st chapter of the story. And i feel like the writting for this game seems much better than the last recent MK games even though we're talking about the same team. See you guys in September 19! 🤜🤛🩸🔥😎

The leaks are pretty much true. The final boss will be Geras fused with Kronika and Cyber Smoke is the last character. Whelp kinda glad I’m not buying the game until it’s cheap. 😂😂😂

I like how this looks. Though I'm not a fan of them keeping the character focused chapter system, I wish that system would get drop kicked out a window. And the inclusion of Kronika worries me, but I hope she isn't as incompetent as she was in MK11.

This might be the best looking mortal kombat game of all time I didnt expect the beginning of the story mode to start off like who ever did the mocap for that creepy smile shang had could play the joker cause that creeped me out a little

It seems less time-based and more fate-based, like you can changes as much as you want, certain things are destined to happen. I'm ok with it as long as the next game isn't another reboot.

Kinda sucks that we still have the chapter system but hopefully we can play as the bad guys so that they dont become endless jobbers again
Honestly asking, what is wrong with the chapter system? I think it's been a great way of telling the story since 9 and allows many to get their "slice of the pie" without filling over bloated by a singular character. I will agree though that hopefully some of the bad guys with get their own chapters.
@darryljack6612 it's not that there is anything wrong with it at its core its just that nrs unknowingly rob characters of their potential like when you play as johnny cage in mk9 in chapter one and then he goes on to lose every other fight he is in after his chapter.
Or when characters like reptile and mileena lost every single fight they were in and how they just had filler chapters like jax in mk9 and sub zero in mkx although subs chapter had some good character writing in it.
What are You talkin about the chapter system wasn't never bad but they need give more chapters too the bad guys
@darryljack6612 It just always makes non protaginist characters look bad and oversells one character. It kills believability when one character wins like 4 fights seemingly without a sweat in a row and then goes right back to being "normal " outside of their chapter. For a martial arts based game its hard to say who really is more skilled than who which some people care about including myself.

I’m assuming Kronika is there as a flashback from a different universe where she gives Shang Tsung his power, I don’t believe they would use her as the main villain.

Can't lie very concerned about Kronika's return genuinely a terrible villain hope she can be redeemed. But more or less I want it to be focused on Shang Sung. It just seems like everyone got an overhaul but its still just Kronika doing her same old BS just in this new era. I mean is it that hard for the MK devs to think of a brand new innovating villain like hell people were stoked that Onaga could potentially be the main villain of the story and they put that on hold so they can just bring back the same villain from the previous game that fans notoriously hated. Let me guess finale character that's going to be revealed is Devora and she'll kill half the roster like Sindel in MK9🤣. I have a lot of optimism for this game still and hoping its more Shang shining instead of a lame plot about a terrible villain wanting revenge.

Basically she will have a second chance to be the final boss, by using shang as a sub boss because this shang is not the same as the previous time lines , this one is guided with false promises, after the defeat of kronika/geras , onaga will be the new boss for the next game
Not making comparisons... but Shao Khan was the villain in back 2 back games. Let's just see how Kronika as the villain here again will pan out. I'm kinda liking what I'm seeing with her return thus far
The difference here this fans LOVED Shao Kahn as villain so it made sense to bring him back twice. from what I've seen everywhere on the net Kronika is despised by the fanbase from not only a story standpoint but also a gameplay one. You simply can't compare her and. Shao Kahn here, it's like comparing a diamond to a rock just because both are solid.

But seeing the interactions with Liu Kang and I'm like yeah it actually does make sense he's back so does Kronika. Wasn't a fan of both of them and the overall time travel plot but I'm just open minded to see what kind of story they'll tell

We saw in the Aftermath DLC that Liu was able to de-couple from Raiden while retaining the god powers.

Yes Caboose we'll definitely get skins for our kameos. I think in the very first gameplay trailer, as soon as Kitana and Mileena clash, if you slow down the video you'll see Sonya rocking her MK 3 outfit. I'm glad gear system is coming back, something that i have wanted back and hopefully its better. The thing I'm skeptical about is Kronika because apparently Geras and her will fuse and i just hope Geronika isn't the final boss.

For the first chapter, I’m already impressed; like Caboose said, this might be the prettiest fighting game yet, but also, the story is very interesting so far (like seriously, who would’ve thought that Kronika would return somehow?!), the gameplay looks clean & also, I like that there is specific dialogue in between rounds, giving the battles more personality with the victor of the round taunting their opponent. And if this is just Chapter 1, I can’t wait to see the rest of the story, which is most likely gonna be really good!

This old Lady is a huge change to the Mortal Kombat Story. Madam Bo is a replacement for Master Bo Rai Cho actually. Well, she teaches them Martial Arts, but she is not so crazy addicted to alcohol. I like her. I don't mind this change. No drinking, no farting and no throwing out. 👏🙂
Not a big fan of Kronika returning and I can’t help but feel kinda bad for Kung Lao. MK 11 Aftermath hyped up the great Kung Lao and this new timeline with Fire God Liu Kang training him for the MK tournament, only for Liu Kang to end up choosing Raiden over him or this new Kung Lao if the Great Kung Lao isn’t in this game.
I wouldn’t blame Kung Lao for switching sides at this point lol

Easy explanation of why Kronika is back. Her soul was freed to the hourglass when Liu Kang killed Shang in aftermath.

Man that Smoke mask is a 💯 better then his main one. And man do I hope Subzero, Scorpion, Smoke, and Reptile all get the traditional ninja skins like the Lin Kuei jobber ninjas. They look better then the main ninjas
Liu Kang powers seems to have limits like unable removing people from existing or removing their free will ,so he went and fuck up Shang Tsung life and powers instead. Lol

It's so cool I've been playing in MK since the first 1.0 version came out in arcades and almost any time they've released a console game since has been either on or really close to my birthday which is September 14th

I highly doubt Onaga is even in the game. I think the whole point is gonna be Shao making hes progress to become Kahn once again.

OK so 1 grain of sand is a new universe, and that's a lot of sand so, there are infinite Mortal Kombat universes confirmed! or am I just high?
@@SOONSHINY_127 I never considered that only one can exist at a time. So maybe only one grain (universe) can exist inside the hourglass at any given time. However, some characters talk about the other timeline but that one is gone. I guess I look too deeply into things.
