  • Foscam MJPEG Cameras - Port Forwarding
This tutorial shows you how to see your camera remotely from any outside network, which requires port forwarding. Forwarding ports in your router allows incoming connections into your camera which is connected to your router. In this video we show you how to log into a Linksys Cisco router, navigate to the Port Forwarding settings, and forward the ports in the router for the camera. We also show you how to find out your external IP address once the ports have been forwarded so that you can use this to access your camera from any outside network and even on your smartphone!

Thank you. I spent all day trying to figure this out. I had the forwarding set up correctly but I wasn't using the correct IP address when I tried to access the camera remotely. This was a tremendous help. Thanks again!

Has one of these videos been made for a Ubiquiti AirRouterHP yet? He said he was going to be making other videos for other routers. My interface for my router isn't as cut and dried as this one is.

    Hi
Thumbs up tutorial, I follow your video tutorial port forwarding on my linksys router bridged with verizon dsl modem. and ipcamera is accesible on my home network, but I can't access from remotely. I put ip number and added (:) and the 4 digit port number , when I try to access from the outside 3G network or internet browser- it gives me timeout error or did not match any documents
I can't find any solution it looks right on the setting manual, hope to see video or any advice on this issue

How about DDNS for setups without a static IP address? Otherwise the IP address will change if the modem reboots, and it won't connect to the camera any longer.

Alright guys, don't port forward your camera. Yeah I know it adds more convenience but there are other ways to remotely access your IP camera. Set up a VPN instead. If you don't know how to, ask your local tech to set up a VPN for you
