@@APBT-Bandog you ain’t never lied but your making history with what you’re doing. I could see your breeding program being implemented in police and military installations. The possibilities are endless.
I hope everybody that breeds dogs, watches these video's. Even if they don't have the exact same goals,I would think Lee's videos could help them Produce healthy dogs and maybe get closer to THEIR goals. Basically I hope everybody that breeds dogs are watching because I suspect they could learn something that's helpful. And if I ever start breeding dogs I will probably rewatch alot of these video's.
Even if you’re not planning to breed dogs at least you can sort of lead someone’s impulse to get a dog of any breed into the right direction by sort of touching on points all good breeders understand. From all the research I’ve done listening to successful individuals like Lee, Mr Garcia, and even German shepherd breeders, I understand I don’t have the time or money to waste on such hobbies. But at least I know where to start looking for my next dog.
I always enjoy listening to you. Speak you have a unique way of thinking we know you don’t have to share your knowledge, but I certainly do appreciate it. Have a great day.
Easily 90 minutes of content, maybe more. Lots to unpack, but thankful you took the time to share this knowledge so that others might have a chance to do better and be better at keeping dogs. Time to get my notebook and pen to re-watch then write. A pleasant day to you sir!
Mr Robinson I'm a moderator on a channel called North West Arkansas cane corso podcast There bin many guests who have breed dogs for many generations but we have not had a man with ur expertise on the show ur a unique person in this game, u have the knowledge as a genetics teacher and u have the hands on experience as a breeder also Would be amazing to have u in a guest talking all things dog from genetics, selection, testing, training, feeding, medical and maintenance Much appreciated for ur time
But it is being done without us really knowing that it’s happening. The rise of men turning into women and women turning into men to reduce the population and then there’s also the poison in our air, environment, food, water, and skin care products. Don’t forget the mass biological warfare like Covid and the media dumbing us down. This will ensure we stop reproducing. We have a world of fat lazy useless people turning dogs into fat lazy fur babies as well.
Good joke, but I do not support the idea of eugenics in humans obviously...for who gets to decide that would be the rich, and while some bad things would be eliminated perhaps...at what cost? Power and corruption to trespass on the rights of others would then become something selected for even more so than it already is.
You made a really good point around 12:00. I personally would like to gain weight, but because I am prediabetic, I have to limit carbs, which makes it next to impossible to do so.
How much allowance do you give for a high performance dog he GETS THE JOB DONE but he has bad hips or and overbite or any number of things but he out performs others. Would you pair him up to try and eliminate the defect and if so how many generations would you try if defect remains persistent?
Bert Sorrells stated, "allowances for what I do not desire is allowed when it wins, but excuses for losers are not permitted no matter how much I like them." Personally, it would depend on the degree of how bad the hip was. If it was terrible, I would not bother. There are just too many other good dogs to use, but if it was moderate and the dog would likely work until it was 8-10 years old, then I would consider it, but if I did, it would only be bred to working class dogs with great hips.
Sorry, as a person not formally educated in epigenetics, it may seem presumptious for me to disagree, but my understanding is it's deeper than nature vs nurture, because it has effects on the next generation that have nothing to do with nurture.
How do you reconcile the fact that some of the best producers were not themselves great performers? or that some entire lines that weren't useful turned out to be great catalyst?
Thanks for addressing my posts. If you would indulge me, Gary Hammond’s wrote an article about the characteristics of his dogs that had the coloration of his Hailstone. That they weren’t good for hog hunting, because they would just bore in and attempt to overpower the hog and get themselves killed ( paraphrasing ). Could there be a genetic explanation for that in your opinion?
Gary Hammonds is not a geneticist and I confident coat color in dogs (which is not a product of geographic isolation in dogs) has nothing to do with performance or temperament.
@@APBT-Bandog I’m pretty sure you know of: Dmitri Belyaev and Lyudmila Trut began the experiment in 1959 at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Novosibirsk, Russia
Please write a book Mr. Lee, I love your work!
I am not so sure people read anymore. Lol

Any books or reading material you can recommend?
College textbooks on ethology, animal behavior, genetics, & population genetics are good.

The genes are only turned on or off. The actual genes however are not altered in presence.
How do you reconcile the fact that some of the best producers were not themselves great performers? or that some entire lines that weren't useful turned out to be great catalyst?
I don’t worry about “reconciling” with that. It is what it is, and you work around it to produce dogs that work and produce.
