I'm a huge fan of horror films, and I did like this one, but didn't love it. Why? Bc it was trying to present too many horror film elements rather than focusing on one clear storyline. We had the opening scene in The Neighborhood. We had the teenage girls going to the carnival to find dates - and then that has an unexpected twist. We had the back-in-time storyline about a busload of kids, which is retold by a Mean Middle School Girl who wants her groupies to scare another classmate. Lots going on, and really, if they eliminated the girls/carnival storyline, it would have been much more cohesive and maybe we would have better connected to one of the characters so we would care what happened to them. Thanks for your review - I think we both had bigger expectations for this one.
