We made chef Del's irish soda bread last month.... AMAZING. We sifted the dry ingredients (the one difference we made) and adjusted the ratio of raisins and caraway seeds for our liking. So good!
I have made 100s of latkes for years(but fried in oil) and we freeze them and then reheat at 350 degree oven for about 8 minutes on each side. They turn out great. But haven’t tried with no oil yet.
Wonderful guest! Can you put that book he recommended about mies en place your life in the show notes please if it’s not there already. That sounds so interesting.
Always such a wonderful time with Chef Del :D looks and sounds del-icious indeed ;) looking forward to next month, sounds like a lot of fun :) exciting with his upcoming course, too :D thank you so much
Potatoes. Pancakes. No oil. i’ve had potato candy on my itinerary for months now. Let that potato soak up the date sugar, get hard, crystalize, rock up (oh boy). i gotta see these potato pancakes. NO OIL? man 👊🏼
My grandson thought I didn't know how to cook hotdogs because I cooked them on the stove in a pot. He was used to his mother cooking them in the microwave. I don't cook or eat hotdogs now.😂😢😂
Tried to make potato Pancakes once, it was a disaster! Put potatoes & onions in a blender, they were too pureed! The best way to do it is to grate the potatoes & onions on an old fashioned grater, just like mummy used too do it.

I am so sorry I missed watching the "live" show! I love Chef Del Sroufe!
Me too, no power here for 2 days & counting
I am amazed at how much liquid can be squeezed out of the potatoes and onions! Great recipe and tips. Thank you.
The good thing Is that liquid in food keeps u fuller longer. I no longer press water out of tofu.
Chef Del wrote my favourite vegan cookbook. I recommend it to everyone. "Better than Vegan" is the best cookbook!
thanks for the reco 🎩

I admire Chef Dell's patience cooking. I tend to heat pans too high, and stir too much.
Love "Good @ rolling those balls" LMAO

Great show, and I just LUV AJ ❤🎉
Terrific episode and guest! I'll be experimenting with the cauliflower sour cream.
Lol!

Good Chief Del 👍‼️☺️💐
How about potato flakes instead of flour?
Broccoli Mum uses it instead of flour for crispy potatoes.

Latkes!
Recipes are fantastic however I would strongly discourage the use of Teflon pans- please research the health hazards of this material.🙏

You’ve got to squeeze out the excess liquid.
@yenta vegan , yes, they were just too pureed in a blender. They are best coarse ground on a grater.
Oh goodness - if I ate latkes and apple sauce my glucose meter would explode!!!
A jar of applesauce in my house is food addiction. It would be gone within 2 days lickety split ! Lol
The path is strewn with obstacles. Ought I watch in silence when a blindfolded brother attempts traveling on that road, or do I shout out directions?
