This can be a pro and a con because it's custom but also a 4-6 week turn around, according to their website. I am curious how fast your turn around was or was it expedited to do this review. No bad answer just want to know if the 4-6 weeks is conservative and usually takes less time.

Also with the go customs and Cuetec cynergy basically being the same price which would you prefer? I’m looking to pick up a j flowers cue but also a small diameter carbon shaft for another cue and I’m having a hard time deciding.
This is a really good shafts from xlr8. I've had it for 3 years now and it shoots the same as the day I bought it. I like the sound and feel of the hit on it. Carbon fiber is the way to go especially if you live in the cold northeast. I live in Buffalo, Ny.
Can you tell me if you thought the XLR8 hit like the Cuetec Synergy? Also, I believe that you stated you liked the Sniper tip that comes on the Synergy and preferred it to the Ultra Skin? Can you confirm? Thanks so much for all the help.
Hi John, I think the XLR8 is very similar to the Synergy. When it comes to tips, my favorite is Kamui soft or super soft, but you just have to test a few different brands and see which one YOU like. My style of play prefers a soft tip, but your style might be more suited for a medium tip.

Got the XLR8 shaft customized to my specs about a month ago with the sniper tip. Matthew was great to deal with and delivered as promised. The fit to my Lucasi butt was perfect and I love the black ferrule. Been shooting great with it. Thanks so much for the review because I would not have known about XLR8 otherwise.

Hey, glad to hear that you like your JFlowers cue. You need to have a converter bumper. When I ordered my JFlowers extension it came with that converter bumper.

Well I got my custom XLR8 with the wooden 3/8 x 10 joint which fits perfect. I requested a custom weight and a black ferrule along with a sniper tip. I got the 12.6 mm diameter shaft and love it. The shaft is terrific and it took me about 2 minutes to get used to it. No vibration. Great buy for $300.00. Thanks again for your video!
Currently playing with a j flowers carbon fiber shaft as my playing cue. Changed the tip to a victory soft. Really woke the shaft up. Even the tip that came with it wasn't bad. Ordered an XLR8 jump break shaft a couple of days. It's going to have a bullet proof tip and ferrule. Seems like it will be good. A custom shaft with my unusual pin that's ony jump break with a total custom tip and ferrule combo for 325. Should be cool. Will send a review when it arrives
Had the xlr8 jump break shaft for 6 months now and love it. Super low deflection and jumps amazingly. Breaks great. It's so versatile. The super light shaft is great for full cue jumping. Honestly if I'm more than 6 inches away from the obstacle I use full length cue. Gets the ball up quick. Really spins the cue ball as well. Just the best jump break you can buy. Specs are 29 inch, 12.8 mm, 16 inch taper, bulletproof tip ferrule combo, weight of the shaft is 2.9 oz. Paired it with a players jb5. Which weights 17.2 oz. Crazy is how well you can shoot with it. If I'm playing on slow cloth I just use my break cue for everything. On faster cloth I still love my j flowers cue though.

@@cryptonator1988 yes j flowers is a true carbon fiber shaft. They are made of aero grade carbon fiber, (Whatever that means). They are by far the best deal on the market and shoot just as good, if not better in a lot of cases, than more expensive better known brands.

I live in Norway and that's why the delivery was 5 weeks, I think. The shaft was made pretty quickly, but getting it in my hands took some time.

@@mattscallon1272 I went with the 11.8mm XLR8 and love it. I prefer the hit and the way it plays over my 12.4mm GoCustom by far.
So between this shaft and the J flowers carbon shaft which do you feel perform better and has better feel?
By far, the JFlowers performed better for ME. You might prefer more deflection which the XLR8 has..but that did not suit me.
