I was at Chapman dam last week during a 300 mile trail ride in 1 day down there. Im from Erie Pennsylvania. Saw lots of jeeps snow wheeling. So just seeing if anyone like you of driving on the state trails.
Awesome! Haven’t been back there to wheel at all, last trip out that way was camping at one of the parks. Hoping I can get another trip out that way sometime soon. 😁
I'm very interested in getting started overloading or offroading a bit, but I don't know how to find trails to drive on near Pittsburgh. What's the secret? How do you find trails?
It totally depends on where you are…out west they have books written on off-road trails…but when I moved to PA I had to do my own searching. A couple apps/sites I used are Overlandbound and Gaia GPS (Gaia has off-road trails marked on many maps if you pay). Those are the big ones I use…past that its Google and locals. 😂. Good luck on starting and let me know if you find another good Baird to find trails!!
Going to be camping on the eastern side of Raystown Lake, PA for the first time. Have you explored the area, if so can you recommend any area to explore?
Take a drive up through Shanksville pa sometime in the fall and stop by Flight 93 Memorial. Definitely beautiful country! Not sure what’s up there for off-roading tho.
@@ScottfromCalifornia who can I contact around that area to double check? I would like to know more in regards to camping and if we are allowed to light a fire for grilling
@@baderal-ghanim3604 The road that I was driving on in this video had a ranger station near the beginning of it. I bet you could either stop by the station or (better yet) look up the Allegheny National Forrest website and call the rangers. I think this is a good place to start www.fs.usda.gov/allegheny Best of luck!! Come back and comment on what you find out...would love to do some of that off-trail camping too. 😁
I backpacked all over this forest so many times, I cant wait to try overlanding!
Like the video. Your creating memories for your kids that will last a lifetime. Your a good Dad!!!
Thanks man!! Totally agree 😁 That’s my main reason for making these. 🙌🏻
Love seeing the kids enjoying the ride!
Thanks!! 😁

I haven’t been over in that neck of the woods to be honest. Let me know what it’s like and maybe I can sneak out there sometime too! 🙌🏻

Good call! My wife and I have been wanting to get up that way. Appreciate the reminder on a another reason to go. 😁
You can camp out there, the do have camp sites and the whole dispersed camping type of deal.
Nice! I was actually just watching videos about dispersed camping on National Forrest land. Great tip...gonna have to make it back there. 🙌🏻
So you can camp on Forest road no 437? And can you go in between the woods?
it certainly looked that way to me.
