I prefer the Strong's numbers too, because the ancient word can have many different senses of meaning, which can greatly affect the interpretation. By simply writing a single English word (or phrase) under the ancient text, it can be an oversimplification of the translation, focusing on only ONE particular sense. But if you look up the word in Strong's, then you have a much more complex set of senses to choose from.
Good would be to find an Interlinear, that also notes these translation problems, in the text. Then has an appendix, that discusses these problem words, in depth. _(Kind of like the Leningrad Codex does in places.)_ Now *that;* would be one *awesome* English study Bible!

I see a lot of the older generation talk about using a strongs, but when I watch certain people talk about the Bible in their streams, they refer to an interlinear on a website. So is the difference that an interlinear shows the translation in scripture form, meanwhile a strongs concordance gives you all possible meanings of the original word and all of the references of usage throughout the Bible? I recall one guy I was watching using an interlinear, and saying that the original word was one thing. But when I looked up an interlinear for that same passage, I got a different "original" word... Why would there be different results in an interlinear?
Interlinears are NOT for doctrine creativity of non-original language readers. It's for students reading the Hebrew or Greek and at a glance can check original language words English synonym. If you can't read the original languages you need a reverse Interlinear. It places the original language in English word order or grammar. Sometimes also called in English order INTERLINEAR.
To study the original Hebrew and Greek, which books are recommended. Would it be a good idea to buy a Hebrew Bible and a Lexicon for example? Or an inter linear and Strongs or Youngs.
So what is the point of using an interlinear, if interlinears vary in their translations? I don't see how that makes it any different than just using varying Bible translations. It gives you all the same problems. Only difference is that they mix the order of the words and show you the Hebrew words in which you can't even read anyway.

But it is also translated as "week" the full 7 days. My question, is translating Sabbaton as week an accurate translation as in Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; Acts 20:7.
You are mixing two different words. But, understandably so. Shabbāth is; _"A day of rest, and the last day of a Hebrew week."_ Sabbaton is a Hellenizing of that Hebrew word. _(Here is where our English takes the Hellenized word to make our English "Sabbath.")_ Sabbath _(Hebrew)_ is; _"A year of rest."_ You can see its usage in Leviticus 25: 3 through 5. _(It's where we get our English term of a "sabbatical.")_ Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:2, Luke 24:1, and Acts 20:7; are all Shabbāth _(last day of the Hebrew week.)_ And since Hebrew days are counted from dusk to dusk, *He* rose on the third day, or the first day of the Hebrew week.
@@PortCanon I have since moved on to olive tree bible software on an ipad, with the BHS and NASB side by side. In my opinion, that's the best thing out there. NA28 and NASB for the new testament. I was against electronic bibles for many years, but I made the switch because paper bibles are so limited. If you get the parsed versions of BHS or the NA28, each word is tagged for immediate lookup in your lexicon of choice. BDAG/Louw and nida I use for NT, HALOT and BDB for thep Tanakh. You can also buy a parsed version of the LXX to use side by side with Masoretic text. Hope that helps.
I noticed that you mentioned 2 of the Bibles that come from Wescott and Hort translations, the NIV and the ESV.Why are you not using the King James Bible which is the most correct translation of all the other Bibles? Both the Bibles you mentioned have huge error in them. Also the Hebrew wording you are showing are modern day Hebrew and not Biblical Hebrew or Ancient Hebrew. So there is already a small problem to deal with. Just my point of view.

elohim is always male, the best way to check a word gender in hebrew is to see it's plural form - a male word get's the plural suffix 'im - ים' and a female word has the suffix 'ot - ות'. if it had being a female "eloah" then it would have gone as 'Elohot'.
Elohim is neither male nor female, but God/Light/Understanding, prior to specialization of male/female identities. It is Elohim plural because God is Plural Beings. God us not just one being. God is multiple equal Beings. All their natures are totally accepted in their circle.

NIV is a trash version.
