    Jorge, FL_Railroaddog, suggested the "Structures Around the Layout" Challenge to showcase building ideas, modifications, or just some cool buildings that you like. In his video • O Scale Layout - “Stru... there are a lot of good ideas!
    I'm showing 5 Printed Card stock buildings from www.CleverModels.net that I added interiors to.
    I hope these give you some good ideas, just like I get ideas from watching your videos.

    Hi Brent, I love your videos and the landscaping tips you share, especially directing us to Clever Models. I like all of yours and enjoyed seeing the closeups of the interiors was a treat this morning. Unfortunately, I can't vote for one since they are all so nicely done! I do remember a fairly recent video wherein you showed us the locomotive shop you'd built out of card stock. Way, way cool!

    I've built 2 card stock models for HO scale I got years ago from the free ones on Clever Models. It was a house and the Taylor's General store. I learned how to add relief to the models. They came out better than I had anticipated. Now that I have enough Lionel 027 I'm beginning to model in O scale. I've downloaded the free ones from Clever Models, a signal tower in HO and O scale, the O scale Haunted House and the O scale Silver City tool shed. Can't wait to get started but have to wait for a couple items to get here, i.e., the toothpaste squeezer from Amazon to add the 3D effect to the O scale corrugated siding and roof material. Some of your trees look a little clumpy but others really look good. Cheers from an old modeler in eastern TN

      I have really enjoyed the card stock models from Clever Models. I started with the freebies and was tickled with the results. Now, I don't know how many I've made.
      I like to have a lot of trees on the layout - I certainly have some I made that look better than others - usually I try to keep the better ones up front and the bad ones in the back... so it still has a lot of trees.

    Amazing what you do with these models adding the detailed interiors. I particularly like the Hotel, adding the top floors make it look unique. I appreciate the shout out and kind words Brent, and for your participation in the challenge, it's funny because I found and started building Clever Model buildings after viewing one of your early videos.
    Thanks again buddy and god bless.

      @@jebbthetrainkid1281 The "First Street Comercial Buildings" collection on clevermodels.net is the only place I found that has a White Castle. But if you get the collection, it has an old 1920's version (that I have on my layout) and a "modern" version like you see now. Plus it has a bunch of other cool buildings.
      Eventually, I'm going to build the modern White Castle for our Lodge Layout

    Wow I like all of the interior work you did with the buildings. Just ran into your channel so I subscribed. Question, where did you get those Coca-Cola signs on top of that one building. Would love to have those and make a Coca-Cola warehouse.

    • @BrentsTrains
      @BrentsTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you and thanks for subscribing! The Rooftop Signs are also printed card stock models from www.Clevermodels.net
      Those signs must have been part of a "collection" that I bought from them (the sets where you get a bunch of model buildings with "extras"), but I can't find the signs on the website. That is where they are from. Thanks again!

    Hi Brent, your Clever models are amazing and so nicely detailed. I love watching your progress and this was a great video showing what you have accomplished. I have a question, do you keep the temperature consistent in your "train cabin"? Seems like you would have to with all your electronic equipment. I hope the question isn't inappropriate. I loved this video.

    • @BrentsTrains
      @BrentsTrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words! I have a little heater with a thermostat and keep it above freezing in the cabin. Mostly because I have some paints, glues, and stuff that I don't want to freeze and thaw. I crank up the big heaters when I get there and it warms up quick.
