Awesome video, I love Mineola train station. Why was one of the M7 trains going on the Oyster Bay Branch. Why were some trains on the wrong track. Also, I just noticed that the automated announcements were not working on a few M7s.
Eastbound Track is used between 6:30 and 7:45AM for Westbound expresses and locals
RadRoad Reversers only a few electric trains go on the oyster Bay line because the third rail stretches until the next station

25:20 Diesels stop at NHP? Thought only local electrics stopped there. Which line is the stopping diesel for?

Why would an m7 only go on the oyster bay for one station? Wouldn't they want a train going the whole way instead of turning around after one station?
The 3rd rail extends about 1,000 feet East of East Williston and then ends.
@@MrMaster767 so why would they want to send an m7 there?
@@massrailfan8117 To understand why they do that, you have to understand a little history. Up until 1970, electrifacation on the mainline was only to Mineola and to East Williston. Electrifacation to Huntington was only done in 1970 and Ronkonkoma in 1987. They still send trains to East Williston today to keep the Third Rail used and polished.
