I just came here to find the EXACT way to cook couscous and my God I ❤how simple and effortless you made this!!! I went ahead and followed your instructions (to the T) but added some parsley, toasted peanuts and lemon zest at the end. It was perfection!!! The family loved it (and they’re usually a hard nut to crack with anything beyond “steak & potatoes”). Thank you, thank you THANK YOU!!! You’re the BEST😊

This is not couscous but semolina. In morocco we put the couscous in a pan. You turn the fire on on very low. You mix your semolina with some olive oil (a little). Then you turn the fire off and add a tiny bit of hot/boiling salted water, in the shape of a snails. You cover the pan and let it sit for 5 mins (even if you forget about it, it’s totally fine). Then you fluff it (we like to use a wooden spoon). And you do that about 4 times. You’ll see when to stop :)

If you add all of your ingredients to your Water/Broth first then heat until boiling and then add the Couscous, you'll have maximized all the flavors. Couscous actually doesn't need to be cooked, but if you're using Meat Stock you should boil the Stock anyway. I make Couscous with Salsa all the time 1/2 cup Couscous and 1/2 cup of Salsa juice and water, then toss in the Salsa Veggies and mix every few minutes, no need to cook.

Thank.you for sharing your recipe , I'd like to share from experience , it's best to use a stainless steel pan for cooking , I come from a time when pans didn't have any coating on them that they apply to pans today , growing up in younger years at one time I never saw one because they didn't have the coated pans yet , besides the toxic chemicals that go into coating the pan , it also alters and changes the taste and flavor of the food . Try a stainless steel pan and you will see the difference .

The whole point of this channel and our website is to celebrate the Mediterranean flavors in a way that makes it accessible to the entire world. There is no need to “go to Morocco” to enjoy “real couscous”. Anyone can enjoy it no matter where they live

@@TheMediterraneanDish First of all couscous is North-African and not Mediterranean at all. That's a big difference! If you dont want any critics stop naming it couscous then.
