When I pray over my meals I say this: Dear Heavenly Father thank you for blessing my food. May it nourish and strengthen me. Bless the ones who you gave the grace to prepare this meal specially for me. It's in Jesus name I pray Amen.
A prayer to thank the Lord for today's wonderful dinner: "Oh lord, you control everything so thank you that you've deemed us special enough to have food on the table when there are thousands of innocent, starving people worldwide that'll die in agony today if they don't get a meal even half as nice as this. Thanks that you gave this to us who are generally well fed already whilst seeing fit to withold nutrients from emaciated parents and their young children. Amen"

The biggest hurdle when I was coming back to the faith was not knowing where to start. I started with pre-meal prayer seeing the writing on my parent's meal table. Growing up we always prayed before meals & holiday times! I'm scared to admit how long its been since I prayed before a meal! So I decided to do a search for short prayers & i really like your prayer❤
My prayer before meal is Thank you Lord for thus wonderful food you have given me. May it nourished my body as Your words nourish my soul. Lord bless the people who have produced this food. Then sign of the Cross
Praise the Lord. This is my prayer: "Through the word in Colossians 3:17 i take this food glorifying You my God in Jesus Name. Have mercy on the ones around the world who are without any food. " I do this because: 1 Corinthians 10:31 And the promise from God is: Exodus 23:25. Praise the Lord.
Another small add-on prayer includes the powerful name of JESUS! it goes like this: COME LORD JESUS, BE OUR GUEST, LET THESE GIFTS FOR US BE BLESSED, AMEN!
Another beautiful gem I picked up along the way to add is "Oh my Jesus, nourish our souls with thy divine grace as we nourish our bodies, amen." Cheers for the videos Gabi, God bless you and your family.
I love you so much and I love your faith!!! I also love when u show us your beautiful kids. Bless them!! And i do have a praying before meals story! A year ago i wasnt even practicing my faith i was so far from God even tho i literally went to church at least twice a week! I was a huuuuge sinner and then i started a journey that led me to stop some things i used to do with my ex-boyfriend (thank God i'm still a virgin but in my point of view it's the same sin) and i went from wanting to show people that us Christians can wear immodest clothes, to actually selling my gold accessories to buy long skirts and modest clothes. And then i made my first "true" confession and it took 2 hours and a half! It was the best thing i've ever done in my life. Then one day in a missionary camp, my boyfriend broke up with me and i was devastated. I wanted us to get back so baddd i was afraid to say the Thy will be done! Then my friend invited me while at a sleepover to pray the rosary with her and it was tuesday (you know what i mean haha) so it hit me that i should accept the will of our Lord just like Jesus did. So my friend got me a "rosary book" i dont know what it's called in english. And in that little book i found so many prayers that i loved so much, including the before and after meals prayers! And we've been praying before meals ever since ! Okay i know thats a hugeee comment but i liked to share it with you. I thinkk you'll be happy to know you helped me to stick intoo some teachings of our Church. Thank you so much! God bless you and have a blessed week! From a Maronite(eastern Catholic) Lebanese!
AMAZING what God can do in a persons life! That is a beautiful testimony. Thank you so much for sharing it with me! You have a good friend if she is inviting you to pray a rosary and encourage you to holiness :). That is a true christian! I really appreciate you watching my videos and thank you again for taking the time to comment. God bless you!
GabiAfterHours I knoow God is so good, Thankfully i allowed Him to change me. and yes she's the best and she's the one who gave me a book that started ALL my journey! Thank you so much for replying. God bless you!
My mom used to run a daycare out of our home. Because most of the kids weren't catholic, we didn't say the traditional "Bless us O Lord" prayer. Instead we prayed, God is Great, God is Good, And we thank Him for our food. Amen.
When I pray: we ask to bless the food so it can bless our bodies, for all of those who don't have anything to eat especially children, grammar and grandpa's, and all who are in most need of you God. We pray for those who made the food *and if we eat at a restaurant we pray for those who purchased the food. Why: I was brought up to do so since I was small so it's 1st nature, even when I'm with friends. It sparks a conversation about God. And you really never know who is watching. 1 time a lady approached my mom & said to keep doing what we are doing because you don't see families pray anymore. Since then now that I have my own family I continue to do and think of the words of that lady.
I been praying in my past years but lately forget about it..but coming to this channel...I will start again.. God blessings upon all those who have encouraged us to do so
I started praying everyday with my 92 year old father at mealtime since cov19 was in full speed . Through this video I will add this prayer I say frequently; " O my Jesus forgive us our sins save us from the fires of h ell lead All Souls to Heaven especially those most in need of Mercy
My dad would say "Thank you God for this day and for all things and thank you for this food. Amen." As a kid it always confused me why we would be thankfull for the bad things in life. Now that I am 20 years old I understand why we would be thankfull for everything even the bad stuff. Thank you all dads for teaching your children to pray. Great video as always!!!
Beautiful!! Yes, praying before meals is so important! Not only is it a powerful witness, but it also shows our dependence on our Heavenly Father. He is providing for us. It is so easy to start eating, forget and mumble the prayer under your breath. But, if God is really God, we should pray with utmost respect.
"Bless this food , my Lord, and all your children in this world and in the next. Please share this meal with me, my GOD, my Blessed Mother and all you saints and angels. Amen".......this is my grace before meals no matter where I am. Thank you for the video. I pray it may inspire and encourage others to pray the grace as well.
That is a fantastic prayer. Thank you for sharing it with me. I hope it does inspire people to pray before they eat... especially in public. I was very moved when I was still a pagan when I was waiting tables and many of my customers would stop and pray. I wanted the peace and confidence that they had. Also I really believe that praying before meals helps connect with God and petition him for grace. God bless you!
Thanks, Gabriel! I lead my family, coworkers, and friends in the traditional Catholic meal blessing followed by “May the Divine Assistance remain always with us and the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.” Additionally, prior to the above prayer, I also ask when eating at a restaurant for the waiter’s or waitress’s prayer intentions and if they would like to join my table in prayer. Through this small act of mercy, I’ve encountered so many wounded souls over the years who were so grateful for the attention, love and care my table showed them.
just wanna share that praying before meals brought immense peace between me and my non-christian roommate. one day we just lifted both out hands to pray in our own religious ways. and it became a routine for us everyday or whenever we ate together. and from there, we started praying together outside of meals, following our own beliefs too. back then, i found it hard to find time to pray the rosaries (whole four set), so i decided to pray whenever my friend prayed (she was a Muslim who prayed 5-4 times a day). it was beautiful how two different religions unite in one room, and we were happy to to have that peace. I've never felt such peace between humanity in my whole life. and it all started from praying before our meals.
Tq. I'm one of those who didn't use to pray b4 meals. But now as I'm having a jesus experience and encounter in my life I wish to pray and praise Him as often as I can.
Amen i am a christian and i deeply believe in God the Father and Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. Having a relationship is most important I am so happy I started walking on this path my prayer life is better and reading his word has been everyday most of the time since I started this journey at least twice a day for an hour each time. Sometimes I get up at 3:30 in the morning to have that quiet time without any distractions from the world with all the noise and then I start work at 6 a.m. it's been the best thing I've done for my life.
Dear jesus thank you for the food we are to eat ....bless it .....so that it can nourish us ....bless those who have prepared it....we ask all this in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit....bless brother castillo....and family....thank you jesus ...amen
Hello. A few years ago, I read St. Don Bosco's written account of St. Dominic Savio (my Patron Saint). In the account, he at the age of six refused to eat with those who did not say grace because he thought they behaved like dogs for doing so. He lived in a different time period where grace was more commonly said before meals. However, my heart was very convicted by it and so I made a new years resolution to always pray before meals, or at the very least make the sign of the cross. Before this, I used to just pray in my head before the meal, but then realized that actions suggested being ashamed or not confident in my faith; as well, if I could not even pray before a meal properly than how would I ever be able to have the strength to withstand a persecution. Sometimes, my dad will even now ask me to pray before meals during Christmas.
Hello everyone my name is Ronyale Gray and this is my beautiful prayer before meals Dear God continue to bless the rich poor and middle class with some food and let it be nourishment to our bodies in each and every way in Jesus name amen and I do the sign of the cross
These videos are absolutely wonderful to watch. The last three years I have spent in seminary formation, praying before dinner as a community, and individually at breakfast and lunches. Doing so would remind me of God's goodness, present throughout the day, as you say in this video. I particularly find helpful your reminder to be 'intentional' with the words we use in prayer: being intentional is a common thing we all forget, not just with prayer, but in finding God in daily life, and trying to live a life with daily decisions that reflect God's goodness and to be done for His glory. God bless you.
Covid has brought about a kind of renewal and strengthening of my daily prayers. Whether from busyness or social-inhibition, I would seldom make the sign of the cross before meals. Now, I do it all the time and intend in bringing this out with me into the "world". My prayer is a simple yet an honest one "Lord, bless this food and those who have helped harvest the ingredients. Graciously give to those who do not have. Amen." It truly centers us on God and makes us stop to be consciously grateful for what we have. The sign of the cross and prayer for final perseverance and repose of the dead is a good idea. I will try to implement these. Thanks Gabi.
I’m not catholic but we always pray before meal in everywhere . It’s like a habit to me now. Lord thank You for blessings. Thank You for another meal. Bless this food before we eat, blessed this food to our body and soul and we believe that you’ll always provide us a daily food in future. We pray and thank to You in the name of Jesus. Amen
Thank you so much for this video! Before, I just used to say the « Bless us O Lord... » prayer, but this really encouraged me to think about what I’m doing and even to spend a bit longer praying before meals!
my prayer is as follows- Lord father I thank you for this food were about to receive please bless this food and bless us all may everyone have what I have and more and may no one be without thier everyday needs especially without your love mercy and forgiveness Amen.
Thank you for this video. We will add the 2 prayers you mentioned when we say Grace before Meals. We started with our kids to pray before we eat just a few months ago. Now, when we are all seated at the table my kids will not touch their food until we say the prayer. They will wait and will say ok let's pray! I love that this is our routine and our family has embraced it.
These little teachings that look so insignificant yet so powerful, especially in children's catechisis is very much appreciated. God bless you Gabby. I repeat an earlier comment, you are indeed a gift to the Catholic church
It has taken me a long time to get started but my husband and I now pray before meals and it might seem strange but I think the food tastes better and I am more mindful of what I am doing.
...and one day, as I was about to tuck into a snack, my 6 year old daughter said, 'do you not thank your God for your snack..?'... Shameful. But, thanks to your 'teaching your kids to pray the Rosary' video, the girls are being well trained and us parents have to step up. Thanks Gabi. I find your videos so helpful, practical and action-orientated. Keep on doing His Will and sharing His light with the world.
That is too funny! My kids are always keeping me in check as well :) I appreciate you watching my videos. Yes as you noted I am big on encouraging holy habits and giving action items. I always say that we are only as holy as our habits. God bless you and I hope you will share this video with your children :)
The ripple effect of these videos is huge. On 'receiving the Eucharist reverently', wow! Again, that 6 year old said, 'Don't you kneel before your King?'... 😑..Now I do😉, my husband too....and...a few more in our parish following this good example. ..and we're all the way in South Africa. His Kingdom come!
I got my own prayer and combined it with the ideas that i found. "Lord, creator of what's seen and unseen, we/I come to you once again and ask that you please bless this food, and bless our/my body/bodies when we eat this food. Have mercy on the needy and hungry people, that they may have blessings to enjoy what they don't have. In Jesus' name we/I pray, Amen." Remember, don't be shy to pray in public!
My Lord God, thank you for this meal that is at my hands, blessed this aliment in this so difficult times when so many suffer and don t have nothing to feed their children, bless them too and give to then their daily bread for they bodies as much as for their souls, in the name o Jesus, Amém.
When I was younger, I don't pray before & after meals that's why I eat a lot as much as I could. But when I learned the value of praying before & after eating, I do always pray. Now, I have the control of eating too much and I noticed that my acidity was lessen.
You’re absolutely right, it’s important to pray intentionally and focus on what we’re praying so that we can meditate on it otherwise it’s meaningless. Since I know the prayer by heart I often pray too fast and easily lose focus. So I made up a cool rule for myself that I have to start over again until I say it correctly. I once had to repeat it for 5 times and I was really hungry. Now I just make sure to concentrate right away so that I can eat 😂 anyway, all the food in shown in this video looks really good it makes me hungry. Praying for you and your wonderful fam! Cheers!
I prayer before every meal “ thank you Lord God, for the food we are about to received, in Jesus name Amen. And after the meal I also bless myself, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Thank you very much for answering my question about praying before a meal. We are new catholic, and we baptized this past Easter 2019. There are so much to learn and thank you for making these great videos.
I am a Muslim, we do say a little ‘prayer’ before we eat, it’s just a word (if you forget it you have to say something else) and a word afterwords. But this is extremely interesting to watch.
Another great video, Gabriel! Our family always prays "Bless us oh Lord..." before every meal no matter where we are. We have also talked several of times of doing another prayer AFTER each meal but we have not starting doing that yet. :-)
My Grandparents God rest their souls, would pray before every meal. I want to continue the tradition and am looking for guidance. Thank you so much for this video and God Bless The
Nice, I love the explanation, especially humility part and the additional prayers, I really love that. I started doing the sign of the cross when I was still a Protestant and it's changed my spirituality ever since, and I never looked back.
I also add this short prayer after the normal.prayer before meals:"Jesus Mary and Joseph, I love you, save souls. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.Amen! God bless everyone! Thank you Gabbi, i learned a lot from all your videos. Love and shared it my friends..Ave Maria!
Hey Gabi, loved the Video, thanks for what you do! I usually have my 6 year old daughter lead the prayer before meals, we do it everywhere we eat , and it’s powerful to see how even our family that doesn’t practice their Catholic faith will stop and pray with us.
YES!!! My son leads the prayer when we are with non catholic family and I think it makes it easier for others to join in. God bless you! Thank you for watching!
That is so sweet! & yes, I've seen kids come home from daycare having learned a grace prayer & I've seen non-christian relatives or even non-practicing parents join the child in prayer💕
My prayer before meals is "God is great God is good & eye thank you for this food by my hands eye must be fed thank you God for my daily bread Amen & Asé"
Thank you for this video; this topic has been on my mind for quite some time. I must admit I struggle with praying before meals a lot. I know praying before meals helps remind me to be grateful and that God is present throughout the day but I am always self conscious about it. Sometimes I rush or focus more on not being noticed, than speaking to God. It is especially hard when I am eating with others and I don't know if I should pause our conversation or just wait until there is a break so I can pray. I can't help but feel that I am being rude, or making other people feel uncomfortable. I know I shouldn't be afraid and that God should be first in all that I do, but it is so hard for me. Please pray for me!
If the person is not catholic (or even a catholic that doesn't say grace) I just wait for those 2 seconds of quiet or lull in the conversation & start to pray. If they start talking while I'm praying, I just finish my prayer & then apologize to them... I think it doesn't come off as rude😊
"Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty thru Christ our Lord, Amen. Lord Jesus, please grant us the Grace of Temperance. Amen.
Heavenly Father, For food and drink, and all Thy gifts of Love we give Thee thanks and Praise, Look down O Father from above and bless us all our days. Amen
I started praying before eating when my sister told that St.Dominic Savio always prayed before eating..I do sign of cross and say a verse from bible Exodus 23:25 before eating.
Praying before (or if I forget sometimes during or after!) meals is huge for me. I am always graced when I appreciate the gifts God has given us. Do I always put my heart into it? I try to, but it’s hard.
Hai Gabi, this video gave me an inspiration to revigour my lost habit of praying before the meals. I used to pray not always. I think it will be good to bless those who prepared the food and others who bring home delivery
May your meal, time, and blessings be blessed, and may we GLORIFY GOD with what we do and may it align with your perfect WILL and WANTS ❤ May we eat moderately, self controlled, so that we can be good stewards for your GLORY out of sincere gratitude! Thank you for this time, may you BLESS the food and this table, those who work hard for what we eat and where we live, and thanks for everything, in JESUS name, AMEN!
I always pray the Grace Before Meals Prayer; I ask that Our Lord provide the same sustenance to every little baby on this earth [today]; to feed our bodies, feed our minds and feed our souls; and then the Prayer for the Faithful Departed.
It really is beneficial.. we dont know what ingredients does the food has.. and we dont even know what's gonna happen after we ate the food.. so praying before eating or blessing the food itself helps to be relying and trusting into our GOD whos maker of Everything
I can’t help but SING praise when I eat! I’m like THANK YOU JESUS, this meat from your beautiful animal creations that I get to raise right here in my backyard tastes amazing & I can feel it revitalising my body & soul. We have chickens that we raise for eggs, and getting involved in the process of producing my own food has brought me even closer to God ♥️
I’m in high school and I used to be a bit anxious about praying before meals and I would usually say the sign of the cross silently and pray without putting my hands together. Now, I make the sign of the cross and put my hands together as well! In fact, thanks to this habit, an older lady who sat next to me at lunch on a field trip noticed me and said “Are you Catholic?” and I said “Yeah” and I eventually discovered she went to the same parish I went to.
Hi Gabriel. You've got nice videos. It's really inspiring. It's been long time I've prayed and these days been in so much distractions and can't persevere my faith. But your videos and your faith helps me to stand firm in my faith. Thanks a lot. I have lost the first love I had for Lord. But I need to renew all my old faith habits and prayer life. For last few days, I've started praying rosary which I never did for more than 6 months. Keep making these videos. These are inspiring and I could feel God speaking to me. Thanks. May the good God bless you.
Also, Jesus seemed to pray before each meal, setting the example for us to follow and to acknowledge that this providential food comes from God himself and that we should also nourish ourselves with His word each day, which is food for our souls! Amen ✝️🙏😇🥰 Thank you for all of your wonderful videos which for me really act as practical guidelines of how to better and more closely practice our beautiful catholic faith which is so rich! God bless you and continue to inspire you to help us, you are a good Shepard, thank you 🙏✝️❤️
Thank you! I didn't mention it but I learned these prayers from the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. They add just enough that it helps me to recollect myself. God bless you!
My prayer is as follows--- Thank you Lord God for all that you have given us , from thy bounty & through thy goodness , & may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God Rest In Peace Amen.--some add --& may the hands that made these be blessed. My great grand kids add--& give some food to the poor children '
Amen"
Thank you for the encouragement of praying to God in public. P!ease ignore the negative comments in silence like Our Lord did. At least that is what Father often tells me in the Confessional ! 😇😇😇. After our meals we say, " for this and all your blessings we give you thanks and praise. "
Yes, I have been neglecting this. I eat based on St Benedict's rule on when to eat, and how much. Many days can go by eating just 1 meal a day, and combine this rule with the ancient Rule of Carmel concerning what types of food, etc.
I pray now these prayers before meal after I've learned from a conference on spiritual warfare that when you eat a food offered to an idol or pagan god (for sometimes, we actually don't know how our food was prepared - not even dare to ask the cook or chef about it), you are entering into communion with that false god (just like when we receive the Holy Eucharist, we are in communion with the Lord). Putting St. John and St. Benedict as examples, these prayers are exorcism prayers. Thank you brother for this great video. God bless you --- from a follower and subscriber here in the Philippines! (ooopsss, I'm feeling excited now for the coming videos)
I'm trying hard to break the habit of not praying before anything but dinner 😂 anyway though, we pray the Blessing Before Meals, then "Dear Lord we thank You for this meal we are about to receive, we thank You for everything. Amen." (Not my favorite prayer, I want to try yours on my own), then we pray the Blessing Before Meals again, but in Latin. After doing it so many years, I recently retaught it to myself- I realized my pronunciation and understanding was eroding, and I feel revitalized now when I pray it!
I'm trying to remember, as a new convert who has never prayed Grace before meals before. Even if it's a simple mental "thank you". I'm confronted often by my own cowardice in this, and try to remember my patron saint, St Thomas Becket, and his sheer bravery unto death.
When I pray over my meals I say this:
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for blessing my food.
Who are you praying to with the rosaries?
@@JenMarco I would ask the same thing. The Father of Israel never said to pray using rosary.
Pray from the heart.
@Palmetto-J did the Father of Israel tell you to come to TH-cam troll videos from the faith of His Church?
@@JenMarcoto your momma.
“Bless us, Oh Lord for these thy gifts which we are about to receive from the bounty through Christ Our Lord. Amen”
My prayer before meals is very simple: "Oh my Lord Jesus, I thank you for this delicious food that I undeservedly have on my table. Thank you!"
A prayer to thank the Lord for today's wonderful dinner: "Oh lord, you control everything so thank you that you've deemed us special enough to have food on the table when there are thousands of innocent, starving people worldwide that'll die in agony today if they don't get a meal even half as nice as this. You are a child of God, made in his likenes. So you DO deserve everything in life!!! Never feel unworthy, that is God unworthy.
This is my prayer:
"Through the word in Colossians 3:17 i take this food glorifying You my God in Jesus Name. Have mercy on the ones around the world who are without any food. "
I do this because:
1 Corinthians 10:31
And the promise from God is:
Exodus 23:25.
Praise the Lord.
Another small add-on prayer includes the powerful name of JESUS! it goes like this:
COME LORD JESUS, BE OUR GUEST,
LET THESE GIFTS FOR US BE BLESSED,

That is a great prayer!!! Love it!
So special
Love that! Sweet little prayer for kids too
vivacristo1000 going to use it!
Another beautiful gem I picked up along the way to add is "Oh my Jesus, nourish our souls with thy divine grace as we nourish our bodies, amen."
Cheers for the videos Gabi, God bless you and your family.

Christine Zoghbi great read God bless. Say the Divine mercy at 3pm everyday takes ten mins
My mom used to run a daycare out of our home. Because most of the kids weren't catholic, we didn't say the traditional "Bless us O Lord" prayer. Instead we prayed,
God is Great, God is Good,
And we thank Him for our food.
Amen.
We did this one too!!! I’m shocked to have read this here 🙏🏼
By his hands we all our fed, give us Lord our daily bread.
God blessings upon all those who have encouraged us to do so
I pray before meals like this: “I thank God and all those beings Involved for I have this meal, amen”.
Amen
AMEN!
Gab, I am inspired by the way you parent your children. You are a holy person. Hope you'll be a canonized Saint someday.
Keith Mayhew Hammond thank you for sharing. I can relate and will do the same
Hello everyone my name is Ronyale Gray and this is my beautiful prayer before meals Dear God continue to bless the rich poor and middle class with some food and let it be nourishment to our bodies in each and every way in Jesus name amen and I do the sign of the cross
My prayer is “God is good, God is great thank you for this meal today in Jesus name I pray amen
I think we should also pray before going on the internet.
That is a great idea!
Thank you! I will start praying before meals with my family. God bless you!
BEATUIFUL! You will notice that even though the prayer might be short, because it becomes frequent that it makes a difference. God bless you!
Thanks! T.be thankful 4 ALL
I’m not catholic but we always pray before meal in everywhere . It’s like a habit to me now. Lord thank You for blessings. Thank You for another meal. Bless this food before we eat, blessed this food to our body and soul and we believe that you’ll always provide us a daily food in future. We pray and thank to You in the name of Jesus. Amen
Great habit! I hope you will subscribe. I have an awesome video for Non Catholics about praying the Rosary.
Thank you so much for this video! Before, I just used to say the « Bless us O Lord... » prayer, but this really encouraged me to think about what I’m doing and even to spend a bit longer praying before meals!
Praise God! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. God bless you!
my prayer is as follows- Lord father I thank you for this food were about to receive please bless this food and bless us all may everyone have what I have and more and may no one be without thier everyday needs especially without your love mercy and forgiveness Amen.
That's so awesome!
These little teachings that look so insignificant yet so powerful, especially in children's catechisis is very much appreciated. God bless you Gabby. I repeat an earlier comment, you are indeed a gift to the Catholic church
Thank you Edewor. I appreciate you watching. God bless you and may our Lady be always by your side.
God is good! God is great! Thank you God for the food! ♥️♥️
In Jesus' name we/I pray, Amen."
Remember, don't be shy to pray in public!
All the food in this video making me hungry 😳 YES! Prayer is the key to heaven, and faith unlocks the door. 🙏🏼
My Lord God, thank you for this meal that is at my hands, blessed this aliment in this so difficult times when so many suffer and don t have nothing to feed their children, bless them too and give to then their daily bread for they bodies as much as for their souls, in the name o Jesus, Amém.
Amen to this I always pray before I eat 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for this food. Bless it to our bodies. In Jesus name. Amen.
an act of humility, recollection...indeed. blessed easter season to all
When I was younger, I don't pray before & after meals that's why I eat a lot as much as I could.
Great to know.
Which denomination were you before
Excellent video, Gabe. God bless you and your family.
Nathalia, Thank you so much for watching! I heard that you were back in Brazil. I will be praying for you! God bless you!
My prayer,
Thank you Jesus for all the grace we received the food we shared in our table may be this a food for our mind body and spirit, amen.
It’s a beautiful sign of RESPECT.
Thank you for this video❤
My Grandparents God rest their souls, would pray before every meal. I want to continue the tradition and am looking for guidance. Thank you so much for this video and God Bless The
God bless you!
Ohh lord bless this food before we take it and bless those who don't have now tomorrow and forever amen
Amen!
Please pray for me!
snowflakes312 hi thanks for sharing. I can relate.
Love that!
@@gabiafterhours Thank you Gabi!! 🙏🏻 ❤️
Hai Gabi, this video gave me an inspiration to revigour my lost habit of praying before the meals. I used to pray not always. I think it will be good to bless those who prepared the food and others who bring home delivery
Great idea!
May your meal, time, and blessings be blessed, and may we GLORIFY GOD with what we do and may it align with your perfect WILL and WANTS ❤
May we eat moderately, self controlled, so that we can be good stewards for your GLORY out of sincere gratitude!
U are a lovely ambassador of CATHOLISM.
THANK you.
I add to my meal prayer Blessed mother help me to always know that my real food is your son in the Eucharist
Do not swallow tooo much of the living god. It might kick on its way to the intestines.Sorry, HIS way to the intestines.
I thought the Bible says only to pray to God.
@@JenMarcoYes. It DOES say that.
My prayer before meal is to give blessings to my food
Also, Jesus seemed to pray before each meal, setting the example for us to follow and to acknowledge that this providential food comes from God himself and that we should also nourish ourselves with His word each day, which is food for our souls! Amen ✝️🙏😇🥰
Thank you for all of your wonderful videos which for me really act as practical guidelines of how to better and more closely practice our beautiful catholic faith which is so rich!
God bless you and continue to inspire you to help us, you are a good Shepard, thank you 🙏✝️❤️
Mine is; Thank you Sweet Father in heaven for the food. Do you want to bless this meal and the rest of the morning / day / evening. In Jesus name amen
Thank you sir, will definitely implement these two new prayers!
Thank you! I didn't mention it but I learned these prayers from the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. They add just enough that it helps me to recollect myself. God bless you!
God bless you Gabriel and everyone you encounter!
Adding those 2 other short prayers is a lovely idea!
Im always learned from you Sir Gabi thank you for all like this...
Jesus Christ ,I thank you for this food and bless this food ..in the name of Jesus Christ Amen!🙏
Amen"
My prayer is : "thanks for the food I do not deserve" and a Pater Noster
Thank you for the encouragement of praying to God in public. P!ease ignore the negative comments in silence like Our Lord did. At least that is what Father often tells me in the Confessional ! 😇😇😇. After our meals we say, " for this and all your blessings we give you thanks and praise. "
That is a great after meal prayer! I like that a lot. I appreciate your encouragement and support. You are a blessing. Also I will take your advice :)
Thank you for another truly inspiring video Gabi. God bless you and your family. Maria
God bless you, Thank you for watching :)
Mine is Dear God, thank you for this food and remember those who don't have this privilege and bless them. Amen.
Thank you Gabi .
God bless you Merlyn.
Yes, I have been neglecting this. I eat based on St Benedict's rule on when to eat, and how much. Many days can go by eating just 1 meal a day, and combine this rule with the ancient Rule of Carmel concerning what types of food, etc.
COME LORD JESUS, BE OUR GUEST,i like to pray before meals
Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord before meals,Amen
Jesus thank you for these instant noodles and bottled water that I have before me amen
May God Bless you all!
Thank you ❤
Thank You. God Bless You.
What about praying a our father before we eat?
That is a fantastic prayer to pray. God bless you!
+GabiAfterHours thanks
Love this!! I'm going to extend my current prayer before meals🙏💕
Not today Satan, not today!
With grace, I also say St Michael's prayer.
