Because I noticed the similarities between MVs, I recently found out that the same studio/directors that produced Flash(Rigend Film/dr: Rima Yoon & Jang DongJu) - also did SVT's Hit, Chungha's Snapping, NCT's Superhuman, Taemin's Want, plus more! I enjoy their use of bold colors, typographical inserts, and the cool "glamour" jumping action shots. Hopefully it doesn't get overused as a MV trend going forward tho!

Out of the all produce groups, this time they prepared. They planned everything and every detail. I've been watching the show and I'm a deadass One It (fandom name) and I'm still shocked that the fact is they are well prepared. This group is obviously made for being "perfect", everything is so well done so far. (I'll keep my belief for the future too) Groups name, logo, album's name, album concept, the song, the mv concept, the clothing (if someone watched their first stage on mcountdown Seungyoun was wearing half shirt half jacket which kinda looked like an X) EVERYTHING is well planned and well prepared.

How do you find the director of kpop mv's???? I'm genuinley curious, I try just searching it up but i don't think I'm searching the right key words... and I can't find the credits to the production companies in the descriptions or videos...
for x1's flash mv, rigend film logo showed in the end (along w/ swing ent logo). i usually look for kpop mv directors accs and portfolios on ig since most of them are active there. (they tend to follow and support each other too. once i found a mv director's acc, it's gonna be easy to find the rest of production team, aka art director, director of photography, 3D animator, etc.)
this debut is so much more more impressive when you find out how long they had to prepare for it. produce ended on july 19th meaning they had a little over a month to learn 5 different choreos, film an mv, record the album, and have a jacket shooting. im soo proud of them this debut exceeded my expectations

i think x1 are the most balanced? pd101 group out of all 4 (no hate i’m a produce stan since ioi :) ) & that’s really going to help them for their 5 years together! the song like you said was super powerful and it gives the “hey look at us we are the winners of this season” feel. although many don’t agree, i think it’s an amazing song that allows them to come back with even better music instead of peaking at their debut and slowly losing hype through their future comebacks. i’m really excited for what else they will put out in the future! as expected, x1 are rookie monsters 😜
You could have recognized Seungyeon(UNIQ) or Seungwoo(Victon). Seungyoun's vocals are always amazing. All throughout the whole song if you know what his voice sounds like 🔥🔥🔥
I agree that this is the best debut of all Produce groups. Dream Girls was super half-assed in my opinion, Energetic was good but the MV was boring (and this song really is about performance so you have to see it live). La Vie En Rose is a nice song but it lacked something - then I listened to the demo by CLC and knew what was it - the character & sass. I have nothing against IZ*ONE but I think because it was their first release together they didn't deliver it as well as they could. If it was their comeback later I think they would do a better job. Also the MV could have been better executed. Overall though I like the direction the group took which means the company have an idea for them and that's good. Then THIS. This is my friends a MASTERPIECE. From the songs production, to the concept, wardrobe, whole MV and aesthetics. There's also the fact that I think X1 is more well balanced in therm of members than Wanna One. What always irks me about audition shows is, people vote only for their favourite members but NEVER think if they will work well together (unlike companies who form groups). But this time I genuinely feel the boys somehow "look" good together if you know what I mean.
Compared to previous seasons groups, X1 has no hole. They're all pretty good dancers, and can sing and/or rap competently, so nobody is pulling the team down in any way. They don't have an exceptional vocalist like Jaehwan, or a dancing machine like Chungha, Woojin or Chaeyeon (even if Hyeongjun has the potential to become one, he's not quite there yet), but they're all well rounded, and they have the best rap line in a Produce group ever.
I know a perfect group doesn't exist. But if I'm going to name one that's close, it's X1. They're group name is so well thought off - X1 (10 + 1 [the X member]) / XI (roman numeral of 11 = 11 members), and the butterfly logo that's derived from it (caterpillars to butterflies / trainees to idols); and their 'fly high' slogan is their journey from PDX101 to being X1. It's also incorporated in their debut song so *chef's kiss*. They're album name 'QUANTUM LEAP is related to their concept, too. It means an 'abrupt change', 'sudden increase', or 'dramatic advance' - suits their 'fly high' slogan so well. What makes the group so amazing however, are the members themselves: the center was originally a vocalist but throughout the show he's shown that he's a good rapper as well. The main vocals are actually rappers in their original groups (Seungwoo from Victon, and Seungyoun from UNIQ / Woodz). The main rapper, Nam Dohyon, is a 14 year-old music genius who not only is an amazing rapper but can beatbox, play numerous instruments (including but not limited to the piano, guitar), can compose his own songs as well. Wooseok can dance, sing, and is stunning! Main dancer Hangyul's charisma is out of this world. The '02 liners: Junho, Dongpyo, Minhee, Eunsang, and Hyungjun can do it all. I was never really into the produce franchise but thank heavens I gave this one a chance! So satisfied with the final line-up I don't even care if they'll eventually part ways. It's all so worth it, and I'm so proud to be part of the fandom. Let's fly high with the boys, ONEITs!

I've already watched it about 1200 times in the past few days. They also had the highest views, 15.1 million in 24 hours, of any debut. Wanna One only had 12 million. WOW!!! Fly high boys. Honestly out of all the produce groups this is the one that ended up being the most well rounded. For the first time I can confidently say every trainee is very talented and deserves their spot in the group and that none of them stick out in a bad way.

Years have passed and I still adore them as much. X1 will always be my ultimate no matter how hard they (mn3t) try to erase their legacy as it left an irreplaceable impression and mark in the hearts of many. Almost 3 years have gone by and they now have different paths: Yohan in WeI, Woosoek as a soloist, Hangyul and Dohan in Bae173, Dongpyo in Mirae, Minhee and Hyeongjun with their fellow Pdx101 mates in Cravity, Seungyoon as Woodz (a soloist), Seungwoo in Victon, Junho in Drippin, and Eunsang in Younite. They have gotten far and are now flying high like a butterfly but I still cannot stop thinking how higher they may have soared together as X1. 2022 it is, still, forever will be a OneIt and still am hoping for the 11 boys as X1.
Out of all the produce groups I feel that this season had the most well balanced lineup. No one is falling behind in any aspect and the fact that 4 members have long experience means they can give good advice to each other

this was the only produce season i actually watched so i was naturally invested in this group and debut. fun fact: the centre/vocalist who sang the opening lines only trained for 3 months before the show and placed first. he’s so well rounded it’s insane.
I think it's Hangyul PD recognized because PD reacted to Hangyul's All Day MV when he was still competing in The Unit. PD also has a reaction video on UNB's Black Heart MV wherein Hangyul had a dance cameo.
I might be biased because I watched the entire show from the start so I feel especially close to these boys but THIS. THIS TEAM. ITS PERFECT. It’s not a produce group. It’s a revolution. IT ISNT MISSING ANYTHING. PD you are absolutely right, this is THE best debut of any produce show. I can’t fathom it getting better than this. I kinda stanned Wanna One when they first debuted but shortly after fell short after their debut. But X1 is the first Produce group I actually spent time on studying and I’m officially a stan. Also it’s because of Cho Seungyoun, love that man so much. 👏❤️
I absolutely love these videos. I never really watch reaction channels as I don’t find them interesting, but I honestly see these videos more as “brief production analysis”. PD is very informed and knowledgeable on production, and shares this in his videos. You realise JUST HOW MUCH work goes into a comeback, and appreciate the song more. The “zero expectations” thing is very smart and helps to make PD’s opinions more interesting and true.

I see a narration of the group’s passionate vision in the whole video...from the beginning to the end .. At the beginning we see a fragile, dull moth spreading its wings and the process of “metamorphosis” of the group embarks with such a graceful and engaging flow, that the scenes just glue your optic focal point automatically, creating a “hunger” for “what’s next?’ and THAT IS the “X - FACTOR” !!! The blending of diverse talents, attractive visuals, strong vocals, catchy tempos and the energy that flows throughout the choreography just that sublimes and engulfs the person who watches the video... and somehow they initiate an uncontrollable, satisfying reaction to get “involved”... Towards the end, the moth reappears, but beware, the wings are now displaying a “hidden” power of a panther (or is it a lion) imprinted on them... suggesting that when the metamorphosis is complete (the debute ), they are now ready to take a stance in the music arena!!!! Never underestimate the fragility and the gentleness of a moth!!!
Who also noticed that their shirts/jackets red/black pattern was designed to compliment the X background on the mv? It's so well thought. Props to the dress stylist / setdesigners for preparing everything to go well with their choreography.

Yeah I did watch PDX101 but only like 6 of the people who made it, I liked and wanted to make it. So I was still wishing to swap the others out for different trainees and didn't think I would end up stanning them/care much about them as a whole. However, they had a great debut and even some of the members who I didn't care for really stepped up and were great in this MV and the song, so my perspective has changed for many of them. Still 2 I would rather see in a different group since they don't suit this image or fit in well (my opinion) but other than that.. yeah definitely a solid debut and I wish them all the luck!! There are also other members who have made their debut again. Seongwoo 09:46 from the group “Viction” and also Seungyeon 10:31 (or Luizy/Woodz from his solo songs) from the group UNIQ (they are really old and it’s sad they haven’t made a comeback since 2016). Also another member Hangyul 10:04 who is in the group “IM”.
I think it is one of the best debuts because this time a lot of the members have either already debuted before or they have already been in other variety programs before, so they already have that natural skill 💕💕💕

i think x1 are the most balanced? pd101 group out of all 4 (no hate i’m a produce stan since ioi :) ) & that’s really going to help them for their 5 years together! the song like you said was super powerful and it gives the “hey look at us we are the winners of this season” feel. although many don’t agree, i think it’s an amazing song that allows them to come back with even better music instead of peaking at their debut and slowly losing hype through their future comebacks. i’m really excited for what else they will put out in the future! as expected, x1 are rookie monsters 😜

I agree that this is the best debut of all Produce groups. Dream Girls was super half-assed in my opinion, Energetic was good but the MV was boring (and this song really is about performance so you have to see it live). La Vie En Rose is a nice song but it lacked something - then I listened to the demo by CLC and knew what was it - the character & sass. I have nothing against IZ*ONE but I think because it was their first release together they didn't deliver it as well as they could. If it was their comeback later I think they would do a better job. Also the MV could have been better executed. Overall though I like the direction the group took which means the company have an idea for them and that's good.
Then THIS. This is my friends a MASTERPIECE. From the songs production, to the concept, wardrobe, whole MV and aesthetics. There's also the fact that I think X1 is more well balanced in therm of members than Wanna One. What always irks me about audition shows is, people vote only for their favourite members but NEVER think if they will work well together (unlike companies who form groups). But this time I genuinely feel the boys somehow "look" good together if you know what I mean.

Compared to previous seasons groups, X1 has no hole. They're all pretty good dancers, and can sing and/or rap competently, so nobody is pulling the team down in any way. They don't have an exceptional vocalist like Jaehwan, or a dancing machine like Chungha, Woojin or Chaeyeon (even if Hyeongjun has the potential to become one, he's not quite there yet), but they're all well rounded, and they have the best rap line in a Produce group ever.
I think i really get what you said in the last sentence. It just feels 'right' when i see them together as a grup.

The album (physical) are well prepared too.. i mean the butterfly concept. Swing really do well on this group so far
I know a perfect group doesn't exist. But if I'm going to name one that's close, it's X1. They're group name is so well thought off - X1 (10 + 1 [the X member]) / XI (roman numeral of 11 = 11 members), and the butterfly logo that's derived from it (caterpillars to butterflies / trainees to idols); and their 'fly high' slogan is their journey from PDX101 to being X1. It's also incorporated in their debut song so *chef's kiss*.
They're album name 'QUANTUM LEAP is related to their concept, too. It means an 'abrupt change', 'sudden increase', or 'dramatic advance' - suits their 'fly high' slogan so well.
What makes the group so amazing however, are the members themselves: the center was originally a vocalist but throughout the show he's shown that he's a good rapper as well. The main vocals are actually rappers in their original groups (Seungwoo from Victon, and Seungyoun from UNIQ / Woodz). The main rapper, Nam Dohyon, is a 14 year-old music genius who not only is an amazing rapper but can beatbox, play numerous instruments (including but not limited to the piano, guitar), can compose his own songs as well. Wooseok can dance, sing, and is stunning! Main dancer Hangyul's charisma is out of this world. The '02 liners: Junho, Dongpyo, Minhee, Eunsang, and Hyungjun can do it all.
I was never really into the produce franchise but thank heavens I gave this one a chance! So satisfied with the final line-up I don't even care if they'll eventually part ways. It's all so worth it, and I'm so proud to be part of the fandom. Let's fly high with the boys, ONEITs!
Couldn't have said it better. Very proud of them. This video is absolutely GORGEOUS. The boys, the music, the singing, the dancing, the lighting, the individual inserts, everything. I've already watched it about 1200 times in the past few days. They also had the highest views, 15.1 million in 24 hours, of any debut. Wanna One only had 12 million. WOW!!! Fly high boys. We're all with you and along for the ride, wherever it takes us.

Honestly out of all the produce groups this is the one that ended up being the most well rounded. For the first time I can confidently say every trainee is very talented and deserves their spot in the group and that none of them stick out in a bad way.

I know this vid is a year old, but flash is an entire new experience with headphones on lol

Years have passed and I still adore them as much. X1 will always be my ultimate no matter how hard they (mn3t) try to erase their legacy as it left an irreplaceable impression and mark in the hearts of many. Almost 3 years have gone by and they now have different paths: Yohan in WeI, Woosoek as a soloist, Hangyul and Dohan in Bae173, Dongpyo in Mirae, Minhee and Hyeongjun with their fellow Pdx101 mates in Cravity, Seungyoon as Woodz (a soloist), Seungwoo in Victon, Junho in Drippin, and Eunsang in Younite. They have gotten far and are now flying high like a butterfly but I still cannot stop thinking how higher they may have soared together as X1. 2022 it is, still, forever will be a OneIt and still am hoping for the 11 boys as X1.
Out of all the produce groups I feel that this season had the most well balanced lineup. No one is falling behind in any aspect and the fact that 4 members have long experience means they can give good advice to each other

this was the only produce season i actually watched so i was naturally invested in this group and debut. fun fact: the centre/vocalist who sang the opening lines only trained for 3 months before the show and placed first. he’s so well rounded it’s insane.

I might be biased because I watched the entire show from the start so I feel especially close to these boys but THIS. THIS TEAM. ITS PERFECT. It’s not a produce group. It’s a revolution. IT ISNT MISSING ANYTHING. PD you are absolutely right, this is THE best debut of any produce show. I can’t fathom it getting better than this. By the way, Seungyoun (the second rapper) did vocals in this song so, as well as adlibs 🥰

I kinda stanned Wanna One when they first debuted but shortly after fell short after their debut. But X1 is the first Produce group I actually spent time on studying and I’m officially a stan. Also it’s because of Cho Seungyoun, love that man so much. 👏❤️
I absolutely love these videos. I never really watch reaction channels as I don’t find them interesting, but I honestly see these videos more as “brief production analysis”. PD is very informed and knowledgeable on production, and shares this in his videos. You realise JUST HOW MUCH work goes into a comeback, and appreciate the song more. The “zero expectations” thing is very smart and helps to make PD’s opinions more interesting and true.

When I saw this, the first thing that came into my mind is "PD Seungwoo is here!!! You have reacted to Victon MVs before"
I see a narration of the group’s passionate vision in the whole video...from the beginning to the end .. At the beginning we see a fragile, dull moth spreading its wings and the process of “metamorphosis” of the group embarks with such a graceful and engaging flow, that the scenes just glue your optic focal point automatically, creating a “hunger” for “what’s next?’ and THAT IS the “X - FACTOR” !!! The blending of diverse talents, attractive visuals, strong vocals, catchy tempos and the energy that flows throughout the choreography just that sublimes and engulfs the person who watches the video... and somehow they initiate an uncontrollable, satisfying reaction to get “involved”... Towards the end, the moth reappears, but beware, the wings are now displaying a “hidden” power of a panther (or is it a lion) imprinted on them... suggesting that when the metamorphosis is complete (the debute ), they are now ready to take a stance in the music arena!!!! Never underestimate the fragility and the gentleness of a moth!!!

Yeah I did watch PDX101 but only like 6 of the people who made it, I liked and wanted to make it. So I was still wishing to swap the others out for different trainees and didn't think I would end up stanning them/care much about them as a whole. However, they had a great debut and even some of the members who I didn't care for really stepped up and were great in this MV and the song, so my perspective has changed for many of them. Still 2 I would rather see in a different group since they don't suit this image or fit in well (my opinion) but other than that.. yeah definitely a solid debut and I wish them all the luck!! Have a fun career :)
