Usually it stays solid through January, regardless of what time of the day it is. I’ve noticed the daytime rates seem to be lacking IMO but the nights still seem to be decent. The nights are always when I run, as you know, the traffic around here is terrible and if Amazon wants to pay more at night, I see it as a win-win. I’m out here running for them tonight, trying to make my three nickels. 👊🏻🍻
dang so safe to say if they call you, u can get 4 figures out of um (the worst they can do is say 'no' !!!) - this all checks out with what ive been offered via email/phone. youtube data man.... i love this :)
Absolutely, and be sure and work that Chime angle, Chime has been and is currently a goldmine. Let’s be honest, a big company like Amazon doesn’t need little ole Stat Trucking, nor does it care about me. But….. If I can prove to a few of reps that I’m a solid carrier and I always do what I say I can, those people might care about me and try to do future business with me. That exactly the type of rapport I try to develop and how I get them to call me so frequently. Little things like “When I get there, I’ll let you know so you are positive I took your request seriously” I feel these things go a long way. TH-cam is great! If it weren’t for TH-cam, I wouldn’t be a trucker and I’d have zero ideas on how to make videos. I can show you a degree I earned from a brick and mortar school that enabled me to do ONE very specific job. TH-cam is how I figure life out🤣 👊🏻🍻
Every time I walk by DD107, I get that cold feeling inside and think of you. The two feelings are independent of one another. I have nothing but gratitude for the friendship that has developed out of meeting you there. The cold feeling comes from DD107 making me it’s bitch and having to do 37 pull-ups to get it right🤣 DUR9 is such a bittersweet experience for me every time. 👊🏻🍻
@STATTrucking bro, two people from two totally different worlds collided that day. I hope to be a dear friend of yours for years to come and want you and your family to do well. In a world full of chaos, you seem so genuine & and wholesome, which is astonishing. I'm still inspired to get my own truck because of you but I'm also realistic in the fact that it's not so simple as it looks. We'll see but until then people like you help keep me going, doing positive things no matter what obstacles life throws at me. Of course I'll continue to watch, I can't wait to see what the future has in store for you. Until next time!?!? ONNN, WIS-CON-SIN!!! \/\/ lol
@STATTrucking on a side note, bro they really need to consider a redesign of DUR9. I haven't been there as of late but still what a joke of a place for us to have to go there & deliver their trailers.
I feel like they added the fence just to be dicks. They don’t need the fence, it’s a temporary fence, it serves zero purpose. It still is Amazon’s lot on the other side of the fence. 🤬that fence
That's very good money. When you stack trips like you did here, how much time should be allowed between trips, so you can finish one, become an eligible driver again, and assign a driver far enough ahead of the start of the next load? Seems like you only had 1 hour here between end of 1st load and start of next. What tool do you use to cut the seals they use? Thanks
Usually 1,5 to 2 hrs if it’s picking up from same location you drop anything over 20 miles 2+hrs bcs you can pickup 1,5 before departure time if you run like that you can make more runs
It’s an answer that is going to come down to your comfort level and knowledge of how specific locations operate. If I know a spot is always on top of their game and I’ve never had an issue, I could be comfortable with as little as 30 minutes. If it’s an unknown or a spot that struggles, I’d say 2 hours. Here’s the part that sucks, you have to be right 100% of the time otherwise you’re gonna be left holding the bag as far as your performance is concerned. If you left a 3 hour gap and you get delayed, you CAN NOT use the old excuse of “a prior Amazon stop made me late to a subsequent”, this excuse was taken away from us about six months ago. If I were starting today, I’d err on the side of caution and allow for more time until I could confidently identify the difference between good/bad locations, because both exist. I carry two tools for opening trailers: Wire cutters (actually my grandpas welding snips) - use them 95% of the time Bolt cutters - occasionally they use seals that require a little more than the wire cutters can do. According to ULine, these are called “high security seals”: www.uline.com/BL_2635/High-Security-Seals These two tools have worked 100% of the time for me. 👊🏻🍻
100% agree with 1.5-2 hours, being that they’ll let you check in early, doing it this way is a safe bet. If you try to check-in any place more than 2 hours before, they’ll send you away and tell you to come back closer to your arrival time.
2 weeks until chrismas
This year flew by 😢
Yep, let’s make hay while the sun shines
