Ravel is one of the most genius and open-minded 20th century composers to ever live on Earth. His pure intricacy carved into the score creates a magical effect whilst we listen to it being played. Thank you for sharing a video on Ravel, one of my favourite composers.
I've played Scarbo, but afraid to try La Valse, does it really technically easier than Scarbo? Does somebody really tried these two and could give me your opinion? Would be grateful ˊˇˋ
i learned la valse but am too scared to try scarbo lmao, tbh it's not as hard as people say it is but maybe im just in denial. theres a lot of sections where the lh and rh are playing super different parts thats pretty scary to learn but if you just practice slowly it shouldn't be too bad. and the part at the end with the glisses and stuff isn't as hard as it sounds edit: in the video of me playing on my channel it sounds kinda bad but thats cuz i had to rush to finish the piece for that performance, now after practicing more it's really not impossibly hard

open minded, until it comes to interpretation of his music
FINALLY RAVEL! My favorite composer as of right now. thanks for the video!
My beloved composer
Classical music piece of the day: Minuet in C-sharp minor
In my top 5 favourite composers. So beautiful 😊
0:39 The voicing!! 😮❤
Ikr, for me its actually too much, like the voicing makes it sound like homophonic music and is definitely not pp.
@@hurricane4912Just because your pp is homophonic doesnt mean everybody feels the same way. Let people live
@archsys307 They never attacked anyone's opinions and specifically mentioned "for me". I don't think they were trying to be rude at all
@@yavidhi do you see the joke or should i explain the pun
which in fact relies on the word homophonic being almost homophonic with something else

La valse and Scarbo are both both technically demanding, though I would put scarbo a bit above.
Fun fact: ravel couldn’t play most of his piano pieces
Also Debussy next pls 🥺
@@CatkhosruShapurrjiFurabji I don't think so. Ravel was not a particularly great pianist when you compare him to the utterly great works he wrote.
His piano rolls recordings prove he was a very skilled player.
@@thedesolatemusic Judging by the quality of his piano music, he likely had a pretty solid grasp on piano playing, or was at least very knowledgeable
you should do levels of orchestral music next
I am a pretty novice orchestral player, but I can definitely try! Do you have any recommendations?
@@acactus2190tombeau de couperin by ravel is a good one
Thank you for the video! Your choice in recordings is very good
Nice
Learning pavane pour une infante défunte right now
10 levels of Scarlatti
Gaspard de luit is TERRIFYING
Impressionism.
tocatta is also very difficult too
Not to be a butt, but it's spelled "Jeux d'eau"
Yeah that was a typo, srry about that 😅
Just trying to read the sheet music for Gaspard makes me all dizzy.
Where would you place lTdC here?
About the same as the valses except rigaudon a little harder and the toccata is on the same level as la valse or miroirs.
Serenade Grotesque? You mean Alborada de Gracioso prequel?
