The sister that plays a violin I've watched her for the longest time I can't remember her name but she's an extremely totally awesome violin player and has the most beautiful voice I believe that anyone could ever hear
Randy I've listened to your family so many times the same old songs over and over but I've never heard this song and I've never heard both of your daughters sing it together they are fabulous and totally awesome I've always thought they were extremely the best but to see them both saying this song God bless him I love it
I love your music and your voices!! I have to agree with Rae last comment, I think I have a band crush on you all too! SO talented on the instruments too!!! ;-)
Randy there's nothing any better than to see and hear him play and sing with his sisters but both of those girls are so extremely talented it's such a blessing for me to hear the entertainment paper days I'm just brokenhearted that we no longer have Matthew but I really enjoy watching him pick and knowing the magnitude of an instrumentalist that he is
LYRICS - Chasing After the Wind written by Tim Stafford Tell me, brother, where is the meaning? What does man gain from all his labor? All the rivers run down to the ocean, Yet the sea is never full. And when it’s twisted, it can never re-straighten, What is lacking can never be counted. For with wisdom comes much sorrow, The more that’s known the more we writhe in pain. I was a teacher (the king of all of Israel), I was a wise man, the wisest in the land. I was a rich man (and I built the greatest houses), But without the hand of God, my life could have no meaning, It’s just chasing after the wind. The eye will never have enough of seeing, The ear will never hear enough to fill; There is nothing new beneath the heavens, And what has been will someday come again. All my wisdom and all of my labor, All is folly in the sight of God. For the wise man and the fool are not remembered, They will die and be forgotten on the sand. You are a teacher (lord of all the kingdom), You are a wise man, the wisest in the land. You are a rich man (and you filled your heart with pleasure), But without the hand of God, your life could have no meaning, You’re just chasing after the wind. Last line of chorus x2 Dobro, lead and harmony vocals: Emmett Franz Fiddle, lead and harmony vocals: Olivia Franz Bass and harmony vocals: Audra Franz Banjo: Caleb Franz Guitar: Randy Franz Album: Sorrow and Wisdom (2012)
Do you still perform as a family band? I know that Emmett plays slide guitar, with the Petersens so I was just wondering if he left or if he splits his time, between the two.
@@randyfranz It's funny how it all works. I never knew about the Petersens until recently when they popped up in my youtube suggestion video box. I started listening to their music and then the Franz Family popped up in my suggestion box. Now I'm so hooked on your music and keep listening to you over and over. Any chance that the family can reunite and do one more performance? It would be so good to see Emmet perform with his family. You must be so proud of him.
@@randyfranz More than a great run it was absolutely incredible. You followed your faith, and paved the path to make the beautiful music we get to listen to. Thank you so much to you and your family.
Randy I am sure hoping that the Peterson's can take your son that dobro and turn the world around exploit him let him be the next natural which he always has been whether it was with the Franz family or whether it's been with the painters family he is extremely talented and blessed and so much seeked for his talent his entertainment in his love for music but more than anything the love for God
great ! but somehow, your intonation is better between your girls than with the guy...even though i know him, and that he is a great musician and singer, as you girls are too...but yur intonation/ overtones dont match... that is very weird and i dont understand why, just hear it, as i listen but dont understand why!! Just recognized...
Oscar Wahlström - I strongly agree. . .with your strong disagreement. Any combination on any song is perfect. I really hate it that they are no longer performing together. All great musicians and singers. Emmett is a world-class dobro player. But his brother is an astonishingly good multi-instrumentalist as well. What a family!
One family band I wish was still performing.
Emmett and his sisters both of them sing so well with him it's just so beautiful to hear all of them sing together
Good sound.
I miss this family so much,so super talented👍😉
Such an awesome song! This family is just so talented! I love the music by The Franz Family!
So, I've decided I have a kind of band crush on you guys. ^^ Totally awesome. Love your talents and your witness.
Great song .. refreshing to hear singers that can stay on pitch and carry the tune!!

Her name us Olivia. Her sisters name is Audra.
Olivia, brother of Emmett Guitar, Banjo Violon, dad Franz, should be hired by Petersen, Matt should take care of the administration
Brilliant -- an amazing family. Just discovered you.. in 2020... Thanks so much for posting these videos.

I've been listening to your family for ages now, it'd be awesome to see you get them all together again, just once.
I love every thing ya'll do. So very sorry for your loss. May God continue to watch over you all!

Tony, the family band stopped performing together in 2011. Three weddings in 6 months made a few changes. We had a great run though!
