I've been doing the same at the Red Rocket settlement in Nuka World. Really just about the perfect place for it as they spawn from one single point nearly all at once and have wide open space around them, only downside is you can't completely build around the spawn point. It largely depends on when Idiot Savant procs for me in the process, but when it happens early I still get several levels and I'm in the hundreds. I went from 131 to 139 with the round 5 Gunners and I think I had forgotten to sleep beforehand. I stand on the ground and blast them with the Chinese Grenade launcher haha. I found that the game will often crash (PS5) if I run to shut off the beacon in between completed waves. The way it seems to happen is the game begins rendering all the weapons and bodies on the ground again as I approach/move my fov and it just hard crashes. So I started looking at the ground as I approach and collect a dozen or so dropped weapons first before looting the corpses and this has completely stopped the crashes.
I've also tried this at Longfellows cabin, but unless you build a roofed enclosure around the spawn point, half the "loot" will fly into the deep water and waiting for a crippled gunner to swim back to you is annoying. Warwick is alright with the two spawn points, but I sometimes get some enemies spawning between the gourd patch and where the car would be instead.
Just your basic legendary combat shotgun, with a targeting missile launcher attachment... Slip down crafting glitch, performable in vanilla, scrap and modify a missile launcher while sliding your controllers left stick down, destroys the ML but attaches the sight to the shotgun. Eight seeking missiles with each trigger pull... There are many YT videos explaining way better than I can here... th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=slip+down+weapon+glitch+fallout+4

What gun is that?
