This is the most beautiful rendition of Che Faro I have ever heard. Nathalie Stuzmann is absolutely amazing, she has the most gorgeous voice and she is such an artist, her phrasing and passion are magnificent.
In MY opinion, there's too much musicality in this version Orfeo aria. There's too much ornamentation, in this song, a man has lost his wife, and I don't think all this ornamentation is really necessary. All this musicality is not necessary. It's nice, don't get me wrong, she has a beautiful voice, very expressive, but I think she's overdoing it.
Kathleen Ferrier used less ornamentation and slower tempo. . Janer Baker also used less ornamentation did an amazingly emotional one at Glyndebourne crouched over and wrapped round the body of Eurydice. I like all these performances. I am puzzled by the photo of Inger Södergren Nathalies longtime pianist/ collaborator as this has orchestral accompaniment.
jovi1715, thanks for posting this beautiful recording. I've only just recently come across Nathalie Stutzmann on TH-cam - shame it wasn't sooner! Do you know when this recording was made (and the photo taken)?
In the musical history of Gluck's Orfeo, multiple times it has been transposed the key, both up and down by the composer himself. Wikipedia has an interesting text that clarifies this.
@@ruthmcintyre2313 Hello Ruth....defenitely the picture doesn't reflect what is going on with the music,it is a very early recording ? Nathalie is so talented.....I think it was recorded much earlier in her career......probably a stock photo?
Una voce meravigliosa! / What a wonderful voice!
One of my favourite arias sung by the wonderful Nathalie Stutzmann.
Brava! This aria always moves me to tears.
The best. Bravo

It's okay to be expressive, but don't overdo it.

Sesini kıskandığım kadın ...
there is no equal
and never will be
why is Inger Sodergren in the photo? It's orchestral not piano accompaniment. When was the recording and who are playing?
Klasse
А я потеряла саой прекрасный голос....
She often accompanied her in lieder music. They recorded several albums together. The picture has no relation with this work.
Che strana versione...mai sentita con queste aggiunte...
What key is this? Does anyone know? Lower than the original ?

@@로보티니콜라스 Thank you for this information. I did nit know this.
Which key is it?
is there something to say about the accompaniment ?
I assume it is her Orchestra Orfeo 55 , she also conducts please someone correct me if I am wrong.
@@lindaswan6655I don't know exactly when this recording was made, but it was certainly well before Orfeo 55, which Nathalie founded in 2009.

@@lindaswan6655 Yes, it's very confusing with the photo, which is possibly from A CD cover.
