Hi Venkatraman, thank you for the kind words. I really try to make the content I enjoy watching and I'm all about the details. It's great to hear it's appreciated. Have a great week buddy
Hello my friend. Another great job you offered us. I own the T-Rex in its first version for over two years, I wear it every day including for my forest outings and I have never been disappointed with this old version. I have no doubt that this new version (probably more successful than the T-Rex Pro version) will give equally interesting and reliable results. Thank you once again for this excellent work that you offer us, always very well detailed. Looking forward to seeing you on your other videos, I have fallen behind in the viewing as well as in the comments, you will forgive me for this failure which I will try to catch up quickly. See you soon. Friendships from France.
Ha ha ha... long time no see 😅 We all have busy lives my friend and I'll never hold that against somebody. Now you've got some great content to catch up on so there's always positives in life. Merci mon ami
Hi there! I've just ordered the Desert Khaki one! Should arrive tomorrow! Can't wait. Had a hard time deciding whether the Wild Green or the Khaki. I have so much olive green jackets and tops, so on one hand the Wild Green would fit in nicely with those clothes, but on the other hand the Khaki would distinguish itself on the wrist :) and amongst the green coloured tops, and would match my HELIKON UTP combat trousers and my folder knife :)
Thanks Nick. I though it best to leave it in. It's the first and only time it's happened. I call that sods law. I may have added the international link. I should find your local one but sometimes they can be weird. Does this one work for you? - amzn.to/3CwxO1I
It's definitely impressed me. It may not have all the super bells and whistles some of the other companies have however the price reflects that... plus this thing is way more tough that the Apple watch or Samsung watch.
Hey Cezar, that's the Casio GA-2000. I love that watch and made some content on it a few years back. I highly recommend it - th-cam.com/video/NeH-Oz4tvzI/w-d-xo.html
@@movielover2172 pretty good even now. I'm getting regular updates which improved accuracy of tracking and new apps - some of them are useful. They have added nicer watch faces. I primarily use it to track fitness/sports activities and don't really connect to my phone for any notifications - i don't like to be bothered on the watch all the time! And even with always on display, get pretty good battery life, i don't charge it for at least 10 days. So overall I recommend it.
Hi there, sorry about the delay getting back to you. You can purchase additional straps from Amazfit. I've checked and it looks like they have a 22mm lug width. There's a diagram here www.amazfit.com/en/amazfit-t-rex-2-strap But it looks like they have a proprietary attachment similar to a GShock watch so I'm not sure how easy it would be to fit a completely different strap to them. I hope this helps BagiLaci
Nice review !! I recently find your channel and i really like it 🙂.For your question maybe i have a answer because i have the same brand watch but older model Amazfit Stratos 3. In my watch which i think is the same software like this i can add maps and routes by connecting watch with charging cable to my computer and then when its connected just find folder named GPXData and put your route there and before starting some training just before press Go you have options to select routes.Other things you can do is when you walking into the the wilderness or you are lost you can easy press Select button and in the menu you have options to Head back. Sorry for my bad language and i hope i help you.😎
Hi Ivan. Thanks for the heads up. So you don't just chose a route, you have to start an activity like a run or a walk and then chose a route? That makes sense. I'll check that out. Also, your English language is great my friend. I promise it's better than me trying your language without Google Translate 😆 All my best buddy
That's a fair point. I've had it on since then and it's been working fine. You've definitely got a point. I might do a 6 months later piece of Co tent to show how it's holding up 👍
Mine did it the first day and it kept doing it, returned the watch. If updates fix the problem ill buy it again but right now the software is definitely not stable.
@@zackwies1493 hi Zack. Hope you're well buddy. My buddy made me a great offer to buy this from me. It's been his daily watch for a while now and he loves it. There was a firm ware update that ironed out some of the crash issues. I think these are great watches and real value for money
Great review! Writing this in the middle of watching but had to stop. Does it do smart watch functions like notification for apps, messages and calls as well?
Hi Matt, yes buddy. There's third part mobile apps you can install, as well as all the mobile notificals like calls, messages, calendar etc as well as music integration/navigation too. These will grow as the Zepp OS grows around the devices
I am a senior citizen that used to be an athlete when young. I am mostly interested in heart rate with blood oxygen . I have not found a T-Rex 2 video focused on cardiovascular performance. To make the sensors useful Is necessary to be able to record these variables for my whole workout and once I am done be able to see the relationship of hearth rate and blood oxygen under different conditions so I can make changes in my workout. Thus I need some kind of .txt file with data that I can graph somewhere else. Any help on this subject will be much appreciated.
Hi Adolfo, I hope you're well Sir. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm not sure the TRex 2 might be the watch for you. I've checked the app and can't find a way in which you can export the data for your type of use. The heart rate sensor is great however I think you may be better suited with a watch from Garmin or Solar. Watches like the Forerunner series are designed around athletes with a need for the type of data you're after, plus they'll even connect with other monitors like an ANT chest strap. I'd definitely recommend looking at DC Rainmaker here on TH-cam. He's an outdoor long distance runner and makes incredibly detailed content on these type of fitness devices. Although the TRex 2 is a brilliant smartwatch, I think a Garmin or Solar watch will be the best solution for your needs. I hope this helps Sir. I'd love to hear back if DC Rainmaker's channel helped 😀 Have great week
Are you eventually going to get the Instinct 2, or are you good with your current Instinct? I bought my Instinct solar earlier this year so I’m not even entertaining the idea of the 2.
Well Paul, it funny you should ask. I picked up the Instinct 2 last week. I have another watch review to test out and make and then I'll be all over that bad boy 😆 Thanks for watching buddy
@@MoorlanderEDC Heeeey, I thought you said the Instinct 1 was still relevant! Just kidding.😉 Good for you. It’ll be a while for me. I bought my Instinct 1 solar in February so I can’t justify getting one. Have fun with the 2.

Do you know if this watch is good reading heart reading if you have got tattoos? As l am finding this as problem for me in finding a watch that can do this. Many thanks if you can help.
Hi Jonathan. You know what buddy, I'd never thought about that before. The sensors collect the light that radiates back from the red blood cells in your wrist. The ink pigment in your tattoos will alter the light reflected back. It make sense why it's not working however I can't guess if this will work any better. The best quality wrist sensors are made by Garmin, however really not sure if they'd help... Although the Instinct and Fenix range are pretty popular if you have a friend that might have one. I'd really be interested to hear if you find one that does work. Always good to mention it if I make content

Interesting watch. If I change in a far future (because I have since some lil months ;)) my Garmin Instinct 2 Solar it will be in the top list
I bought an amazfit t rex 2 watch. The biggest disappointment ever! By open see swimming, nothing works probably. The distance (even if I swim at the same spot, after 3 minutes it shows 500 m) and heart rate (by swimming slow it shows a heart rate over 180, while my old Garmin shows 107) ! I informed Amazfit! And the company doesn’t care solving the problem! People stay away from it!
Thank you for showing it side by side with the instinct. That's what I have and I was curious how they compared in size.
You're more than welcome Paul. Glad it helped buddy. All my best
I got my t rex 2 and I like it alot mostly because its high durability(bombproof), the nice screen, the great battery life and the strap keeper!
How is it going buddy?
