I'm so glad you've decided to make videos this year, I don't know how I've actually done so far , but if I didn't watch your videos I'd be in a much worse position 😭😭 and I know you're gonna be saving future chem students in the years to come, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
THANK UUU! once again your paper 2 as well as paper 1 video was so well set out, I was actually confident and prepared for the questions thanks to your video. You're carrying me through A level chem honestly haha :) I gotta try and keep up the momentum until paper 3
paper 1 went great after your video but i didn't have the discipline to go through everything in paper 2 and it went pretty bad, so just finished maths and bio yesterday and today and focusing on paper 3 to hopefully balance out the grade, thank you for the videos
Idk what I would do without ur videos, you made me look forward to revising for chemistry and it’s my toughest and hardest subject, appreciate all the hard work, will definitely be recommending your videos to friends studying aqa chem!!!
Youre an absolute legend for this you know that. I do appreciate the time you've taken to make this and get me through A level Chemistry so thank you so much
You are actually amazing. If i get good grades I swear it'll be all thanks to your channel Not only these, but your question walkthroughs saved me in the first two papers ♥️
I'm worried they'll see these topic predictions and just go absolutely mental this year 😆 Honestly though thank you so much for these videos, they've been a godsend! So many people have been trying to inaccurately predict things just bc they didn't come up last year but seeing the actual numbers and trends has helped me to focus my revision.
I never really make comments like this but I just want to say thank you so much, you are truly a gem in this field. I watched your videos on rate equations and Kc and they helped me understand everything so much for paper 2. Usually when I watch videos I get some sort of understanding on the topic but I never fully get to grips with it, but when you go through questions you explain each thing from the basics and don’t expect us to already know it and that just makes such a difference 😭 you are amazing, I hope you continue making your videos for future students because it would be a waste of so much potential if you didn’t!!! you are such an underrated channel I wish I found you earlier but I’m glad I found it when I did ☺️ This is my 2nd time sitting a level chemistry as I didn’t get the grades last year and I feel like your videos are going to help me get what I need (a B). Thank you again so much. Never give up, your skills are better than any chemistry teacher I’ve ever had, please don’t waste that 😂 Thank you and have an amazing year!!!!! Let’s hope the B comes through 😩
thanks for taking the time to write this, it really means a lot to me 😊 comments like this motivate me to carry on and make all the hard work worth it! Sometimes I worry that me explaining things from the basics can get too repetitive and annoying for people, but it's great to hear that approach helps students out 😄 You are amazing too! I wish you all the best and hope you get the B you deserve :)
@@easymodeexams33 ahh of course!! I can't speak for everyone but me personally, I loved that you explain everything so precisely, it just helped me understand so much better! thank you again ☺
@@easymodeexams33 Nope. Probably the best and only 8 marker on any paper 2 yet. (only if you had your tests memorised though) I'm sure it was hell for those who were not sure which tests to use where.
You are doing a great job.....I wish i had a teacher like you at my school ......i can truly see your hardwork and dedication for us and this makes you the best teacher . I wish you all the best for the growth of your channel . Thankyoy so much for all the incredible advice 😊
I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the content and videos you have made as well as the effort you have put in. You explain things very well and precise. I really hope your channel gets popular because you're an amazing teacher and you deserve more. I'm sure your subscriber list will skyrocket soon. In my opinion, if you make videos on every chapter (which is easier said than done), in the same manner you do now, and then put them into organised playlists [AS/A2 Physical, Inorganic, Organic], then your channel is guaranteed to become number 1. However, quality > quantity. There are several TH-cam channels that have a ton of videos but they are boring and way too long, so don't be like them. Anyways, I'd like to bid farewell, as this will be the last time I do Chemistry, I hope.
@@easymodeexams33that’s what makes you unique and great. imo the best teachers are the ones that teach from the perspective of the student empathising and explaining exactly how they wish they were taught 👍
Results day approaching 😅 idk how I’ve done in chem but I know I would have done way worse without your videos 😮💨 too goated 🐐 thanks for what you done during a level season
Oh no sorry, that is just whether that topic came up in paper 3 of that year. I didn't include the paper 1, 2 and 3 joint analysis tables, I thought that would just get confusing 😆
Hi brother thank you so much for your videos you have carried me through paper 1 and paper 2, I flopped paper 2 lowkey tho, so I need paper 3 to bring me back up, what do you think my plan should be for today and tomorrow, I'm someone who always focuses on content instead of doing practise qs, so I'm trying to avoid that now, any help would be much appreciated, thank you for your time!
thnx, happy to help bro. I'd personally say get through as many paper 3 practice qs and multiple choice questions as you can, as paper 3 is quite different from papers 1 and 2 and if you aren't used to the format you may find it difficult. unfortunately, I haven't had the time to go through many paper 3 walkthrough videos on my channel, so I would suggest searching youtube for any AQA paper 3 past paper walkthroughs from channels that give good explanations and just learn as you go. Make a note of your mistakes, and focus on correcting those mistakes the best you can, pretty much ignoring the things you find easy or get correct first time. Learn the method for answering graphical questions for gibbs free energy (thermodynamics) and arrhenius equation (rate equations) as these are pretty common, I have linked my walkthrough for this method in paper 3 in the description of this video. Feel free to ask any more general questions and I'll do my best to help. All the best man 💪
thank you bro, appreciate your time, I'll do that, I was planning on doing some flashcards for the practical methods, do you think that's a waste of time?
do you have a video on required practical 4 and all the different tests? if not, can you recommend me a resource where I can understand the different tests and results. Really appreciate your videos - without your video specifically on organic analysis, paper 2 analysis, and mechanisms, I don't think I would have been able to attempt a lot of the questions that came up on paper 2 (and for paper 1 too!). wish I found you earlier - thank you!
the chemrevise link in my pinned comment and description as well as the AQA practical handbook has a lot of good detail to remember for RP 4. sorry this reply is bit late, I've been busy. good luck!
Is it necessary to know exact volumes and stuff for all of the practicals or is it okay to say methods but without having exact conc volume measurement of apparatus etc. ?
There might be a way but I am not aware of one sorry. It kinda depends on the functional group they are asking about. I would check for optical / E-Z first of all and then think about structural by drawing them out rough and quick and taking into account number of carbons in the chain, as well as symmetry. good luck!
I highly doubt it if they have already come up, but there are multiple caveats to RP2 they can test you on, for example the gibbs free energy graph I discussed in the video. Nothing has reallly come up for required practical 10 or 11, so I'd have them in mind myself. Has anything come up for titration curves so far?
Go to 32:35 where I show the graph of combined section A and B (MCQ), I would personally focus on the 10-12 topics with the highest marks, going from highest to lowest - this is the data of the 6 previous years, but things may change. Required practical's that come to mind would be 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11 - but that is just a guess. good luck!
chemrevise is great for caveats to practicals and little gems of info you need to know for questions. Other than that you'll have to go through past papers. Although paper 3 is technically the more 'practical based' paper, paper 1 and 2 also have required practical questions also.
try this: filestore.aqa.org.uk/resources/chemistry/AQA-7404-7405-PHBK.PDF if that doesn't work, just type in 'AQA a level chemistry practical handbook' and it should be right at the top of google
