Quick Jack is an awesome setup. I bought mine 3 years ago and very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone. For most applications, the 5000 is the way to to go.
Thanks for the video, I am a new c5 owner and will be buying a set of these ASAP. Quick question, where did you place the jack platform and where are the blocks lifting the car from?
nice vid, i have the same. you might want to get some lift pucks to insert in to the lift points. otherwise its possible to crack the lower rocker plastics.
II just finished setting up the quick jacks yesterday. Haven’t tried them on my C6 yet. While I was tempted to try raising the jacks after bleeding the hydraulics, quick jack instructions specifically tell you not to raise the jacks without the vehicle in place. No doubt it takes a long time to lower them if you don’t have the vehicle on them. Don’t know if there’s any other reason for it. Otherwise, a good demo.
@Chris do you remember how much you paid? I seem to remember this sale going on a couple years back and I think they were $895? Now...$1450 is the cheapest I've seen.
Thanks Chris. I have been looking into something like this for dropping a non-corvette engine from the bottom. I think with the blocks there maybe be enough room. This is a convenient and economical design compared to others.
Chris I want a quick jack. I'm torn between getting the 5000 ext or the 7000 ext. I own a C5Z, C6 GS and eventually a C8 ZO6. My concern is, Will the 7000 fit under the car? How much clearance do you have between the quick jack and frame on a fully collapsed 5000 on your car? We can discuss through e-mail if you need to. Thank You! Bill C
What would you be using the 7000 capacity for? All 3 of the cars mentioned will work with the 5000. Unless you are working on full size trucks, the 5000 is more than enough.
I dont know how this one got past me. I just ordered the 7k lb. Lift. Cant wait till it comes in. By the way there is a guy in Cobb county Georgia that rebuilt a c5 on you tube. He has a monster cam in his.
Awesome. What a smokin deal from costco too! Do you happen to know the minimum distance on the lifting playes on your quick jacks? The 5000TL is 37" and that isnt short enough to hit the lifting pucks on a c5
Can this be permanently installed on the floor? And can you drive over it? Or do you have to slide it under each time you use it? Looks great, never seen them before
Looks like your local Costco had a sale on garden tools too. Hahahaha Nice garage. I like the paint scheme. Surprised you didn't go gray wall with Black and Red stripes at the top to match the Vette!! BTW, that C5 seat has seen better days. Hahaha No damage to the side skirts?
Chris does your local Costco carry these? My local Costco, I’ve never seen them. I wonder if they still sell them on their website? I will check. What Costco do you go to? I live in Mesa so I go to the one closest to my house. Thanks for the demonstration on those lifts.
@@Dragon-ty6lh I took them to a friend of mine who owns a fab shop to weld steel plates in so I can get the distance I need to line up with the jacking points on a c5 .should get them this week.
BIG QUESTION? My C6 Grand Sport is lowered. Will the Quick Jack slide under? IN ADDITION, do you need both pucks and the block, or only the block. I've been looking at the Quick Jack but I've never jacked up my car.
On a Corvette you will need a puck regardless. If you car is too low, my suggestion is to put a floor jack under the rear end and jack it up a few inches then slide the quick jacks in place.
Greygoose c5 using both sets of blocks, it will raise it high enough to remove the rear cradle. You’ll have to lift your car a bit with a jack to get both sets of blocks under it initially.
18-21” depending on what blocks you use. That doesn’t sound like a lot but if seen people drop transmissions out with this. It’s plenty for 95% of jobs.
@@mycorvettelife I appreciate it I have a 94 C4 that's immaculate and was looking for a safe way to lift it i may get one of those or a drive on lift with scissor jacks
Sweet video Chris. Quick question,..when you did your radiator service video with those adapter tools did that lower you temps at all?. I'm constantly 220-225 around town and the car being 20 years old has probably never had that done and dirty.
That’s very cool!!! But I am one of those guys that takes safety far too seriously, I would have jackstands and blocks in places too just to be sure I don’t get pancaked. 🤣
Love how clean the garage is. Good job. And the lifts are good enough for most jobs. Good stuff
Got mine today! Now I can detail my Corvette and change my oil.
I just got mine yesterday. I'm excited about being able to get the car at a comfortable height to detail it also. (C6)
Those are nice, I would still put jack stands in the corners I've seen too many failures. But all in all excellent and plenty of height.

Very interesting , I'm interested in getting these too. My C5 Corvette would love them too....
They are great.
you leaking oil, 3:46 . are oil leaks an issue or just user error?
Your orientation says that your Corvette engine is toward the back is that right
Nice vid. Any update on how these are working 2 years in?
Man thats bad ass..................I must get one.!!!!........JB..
ok, just got one.....need to put it together...And try it out...........✌
Nice video! Thanks for helping all of us. Tim in Colorado.
Drive Hub is his channel. Between your channel an his yall have taught me so much. I want to say thank you.
Costco did have an awesome deal. I just wasn't in a financial spot at the moment to buy but I doubt you'll find these cheaper for a long time.
How do the rubber blocks fit in the rocker slots where the pucks go in? Do they make any contact with the painted surfaces of the car ?
I see you switched them, from the first demo, due to the locking mechanisms being on the inside track. Smart man.
Wish my garage was so organized as yours. But I can still fit both cars in it. Never seen this jack. Really informative. Thanks!
That is something I may only use occasionally, but got to have! Way cool. Thanks Chris for helping me add to my garage collection.
what side skirts or rocker extensions does the car have on?
Thanks for the video, I am a new c5 owner and will be buying a set of these ASAP. Quick question, where did you place the jack platform and where are the blocks lifting the car from?
well that is good for flat spots on tires from storage
Ordered just now...Have the Mobile 1 filter/oil ready, going to be nice putting the Speedway White c5 up now!

I have pucks.

I was looking into one of these lifts. I’m glad I saw your video. I LIKE IT!
Just ordered one today for my 1987 C4.
I definetely need a set like that! Thanks from Spain tho!
Good way for storing car in Iowa winters or minor repair work.

Thanks Chris. I have been looking into something like this for dropping a non-corvette engine from the bottom. I think with the blocks there maybe be enough room. This is a convenient and economical design compared to others.
I gotta do the same thing but I'm not convinced it will be high enough.
Just bought a C3 and I'm definitely going to need this! Thanks

I have a 3500

does this lift the c5 high enough to drop out the driveline?
Yes
how much clearance between the fully lowered q.j. and the jacking points on the car?
Depends on your ride height.
@@mycorvettelife i meant how was yours

No, they are portable.
How stable are these? Is it safe to get under the car to work on it?
Very stable
Definitely would have been useful during our side skirt and front bumper lip installs hows the family?

Hi Chris , what lifting pucks do you use on your Quick Jack ? I'm looking for a set don't know which ones to get ...
Hockey pucks
Any damage to the garage floor? I have a finished floor
No
I just bought the 5000 tl ,the jack pucks don't line up about 3inch difference
What did you end up doing?

I am debating on Jack stands vs 4 post lift. What is your celling height? It looks low.
8’. I can’t fit a 4 post, that’s why I went with Quick Jacks.
This would be worth a Costco membership. Just need to wait for the next sale.

hi Chris what brand of the quick jack do I need to buy for a c4 corvette?
QuickJack - I have the 5000SLX. Works for the C5 and C4 and I’ve used it on a dozen other vehicles.
Sweet video Chris. Quick question,..when you did your radiator service video with those adapter tools did that lower you temps at all?. I'm constantly 220-225 around town and the car being 20 years old has probably never had that done and dirty.

Nice 👍
Which model did you buy
5000
You should dub in Benny Hill music while you're fast-forwarding during the unboxing
The jacks look cool
Does it lift high enough to get the trans out?
I wouldn’t want to, but I’m sure you could. I’ve seen people do it on jack stands.
The blocks come with it, not sold separately.
How much did Costco have them for? Thanks
Normally $999, I got mine on sale for $899.
My Corvette Life wow great price, I see they got it for 1199.00
How much was it ?
$1500
Scary stuff, but seems safe enough!

It’s pretty safe. Each frame is the same width as a 12 ton jack stand, and 60” long.

How much was this? Do you still recommend it?
$1500, yes absolutely
i remember when i suggested you get some sort of lift and you responded by insulting me
Ooouf
Crow is best served cold.
What is the lowered height? My C5 has 2.25 inch clearance under the pucks.
I don’t know off hand, but with my splitter and side skirts it’s low.
Why did you not open the doors or hood and trunk due to stress on the fiberglass body
You only need to do that if you’re are lifting 1 corner.

Price?🤔
From Costco on sale for $999 plus $100 mail in rebate. They retail for $1400 normally.
