    I miss seeing coral vine from when I lived in Florida. I'm in Virginia now and want to give it a go even if I have to bring them in my garage. Now I just have to find some seeds!

    I'm interested to plant the coral vine in my garden. There are pink and white variants in my area but I had no idea how to start planting them. Thank you for the information. Hopefully I can make it! :D

      I'm sure they will grow fine. Note that they can be very aggressive and smother nearby plants 😊

    We have that plant at home but never seen seed. We propagate it by cutting the hard rooted part on the branch and stick it to soil

      Mine usually only produce seeds once a year; in the fall I believe. TBH, the biggest issue I have is not growing them, but pruning them back!

    thank you for the video.....we have the White flowering variety at my parents' home, but i have seen the Pink variety in my college in India, while i was doing my Degree in Psychology in 2007 to 2010 .......and since i live in India with my parents, i am lucky to actually have a garden of my own thanks to my parents.......in school Biology was my favorite subject and whenever my Biology teacher wanted to show my class a particular plant, she would ask me if i had that plant at my home and if i did, could i get a plant or fruit from that plant.......and even during my birthdays, some of my classmates would gift me plants and my mum would go so angry at me for this because we already had far too many plants at home, and since my parents are the only ones to look after the garden, they have their work cut out......

    I randomly see this in the Philippines. It's one of two plants known as cadena de amor here. We don't have it, instead we got Clerodendrum thomsoniae.

      I can't seem to keep a Bleeding Heart plant alive (Clerodendrum thomsoniae), but my Coral Vines grow like crazy! 😂😊

    • @TaLeng2023
      @TaLeng2023 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LuckyDogTraveler the Clerodendrum seem to thrive despite neglect. We have them in pots so they're well-behaved.
      The Coral Vine though, it seems to ensnare everything. I've only recognize it coz of the flowers from a distance while commuting so I never got to stop to pluck them. The flowers seem to be too tiny and sparse to be worth the trouble of it consuming the house. 😂 If I'm letting a plant overgrow the house, then I'd just buy a Rangoon creeper.

    Can you grow it in a pot? I had one in ground and then we had that horrible freeze. It died. I want to be able to bring it in if we freeze again.

      Yes you can but they are vine-like and will need something to cling on to. I would suggest a deep pot as they grow underground tubers.

      @@LuckyDogTraveler I'm glad i found this comment. I was hesitant on using a deep pot & adding a riser inside to have less dirt. Now i know deep pot is good to go! Do you suggest any specific dirt in the pot.... bag of regular top soil would work ok?

      Hard to say. Brown leaves are often a sign of too much water
