I've just passed gh actions exam. If you expect the questions on exam will be very similar to those examples showed in the end - you're wrong ;) questions are completely different. Even if you are passing those practice exams without issues it's not mean that you will pass a real exam. You need to be super familiar with whole github documentation. Strong plus is to have practical experience with gh actions. I had 6 months of practice with github ci/cd but even for me exam was quite hard
It depends on your resume. I'm a backend developer and it is quite important to know CI/CD operations too. I think it definitely could help to land a job. I also think that if you don't have experience on this exam, it will be much more complicated. So, it is hard, but it is worth it. Good luck!
Is this exam for someone who's learning DevOps now and has hands on experience with GitHub actions but doesn't have any experience as a DevOps engineer yet?
Yes, you can take the exam if you don't have experience as DevOps Engineer, but want to showcase your DevOps skills, but make sure to have GitHub Actions hands-on experience.

Do we need to know all the syntax from the documentation ? Or a general understanding of common syntax is enough.
If one doesn't have any hands on experience on github actions...is it ok to go for certification?
