It has been quite a ride with this series. Now that you mentioned it, you haven’t uploaded for a while on your channel. I think I understand why, we’re all very busy outside of TH-cam, especially nowadays with Christmas being around the corner.
Feliz Navidad, and Mucho Gracias for your feedback!

0:47 I thought that 3 Chime sounded familiar when I heard the Whistling Through Dixie sounds. I personally didn’t see it as a competition. If anything you were the first to really start making these videos and they have always been great.

The "whistle origin" videos are not a competition. They were created to discover new things, out of the personal opinions, with bases and valid arguments. And this is telled by someone that have 30 videos like this in a playlist and it's finished.

@@T128Productions there is a better quality audio in the channel of Bob Gellatly here in TH-cam.
is from the Side One of the LP 'Whistling through Dixie' [ZTR 110]. It is a collection of sound recordings of locomotives operating in 1960. The sound engineers were Stuart Plummer and Brad Miller. It was released in the UK by the Argo Record Company in 1969 as a stereo LP.
Despite the labelling, Side One only has one component of the stereo sound on the disc. Bob converted this to mono for the TH-cam recording. In addition to the descriptive notes, the sleeve also gives technical details of the locomotives heard on the recordings. I have placed these at the beginning of each relevant section.

Yes it is a 3 chime whistle, but the bell doesn’t match the 425’s bell not like BC&G #4’s bell can. But, you’re half right on your guess.

And now the real mystery, what engine was it? In the video I had to take a guess when I mentioned the 485, the one K-36 which fell into the turntable well and scrapped afterwards. It could’ve also been from the 487, or just about any other D&RGW narrow gauge engine.
