I’ve decided I will jump on the hype train after they win then hop off at the next stop until they win the next game just to avoid disappointment lol been burned by BYU too many times in the past
Last week was BYUs trap game. It met all the criteria and they past the test. Last week was also Iowa States trap game too. UCF can't bring that level of play every week.
The saddest thing is that UCF certainly could perform at that level every week. However, they've leaned into the mentality that they don't have to try every game because their season is over. It is sad to see the level of talent they have there that isn't willing to go all in on being the best best team they can be.
@@SvdSinner Talent is the biggest myth in college football. Of all the things that make a team good, I would put talent (things like speed, reaction time, arm, etc) like 3rd or 4th in importance. Look at Alabama this year. Such a huge pile of talent, but change the coach and suddenly they are looking like a middle of the pack SEC team. I say Coach is #1, Team chemistry is #2, Mental #3.
UCF is averaging 40 more rushing yards per game than the next closest power 4 team... Tennessee. And is leading the big 12 in total yards per game. They've just been struggling with a QB that didn't work out and bad clock management. I think Brown getting his 2nd start at UCF in front of his home crowd after gaining confidence last week won't result in a worse performance than last week.
I, much like Drake’s dog apparently, am uber pumped for BYU’s matchup this weekend. This is a big chance for coach hill to silence the haters if they can turn the defense around from last week
I love the B12, but with ISU's bye week, the only game I want to see is ND v Navy. (I might be partial because my brother is a Navy alum) The story of Navy and Army going undefeated after both beating ND sounds too delicious not to watch.
BYU> UCF. BYU will have a battle on their hands. I’m going byu but wouldn’t be surprised if it lands the other way. Utah> Houston . Utes have to get it goin at sometime. Probably this is the game they get righted. KSU> KU. KSU rollin. Can’t see them losing this one Arizona> WVU. WVU woes continue in the desert. AZ was downright embarrassed in think they’ll step up this weekend. TT> TCU. Tough one to call. TCU at home but they were at home vs UCF and Houston too. TT rights the ship again. oSu> Baylor. Gundy and co finally figure it out. Their season on the line here. The loser probably stays home for the holidays. Colorado> Cincy. Huge game. I think this the game of the week but Colorado sneaks a W and keeps their XII title game hopes alive albeit slim. I’m eating crow and actually feel like Deion is building something special there. Only if he stays…. Bye. ASU and ISU
Not necessarily. There is no real logic with that statement. You can darn well bet that BYU WILL lose a game sometime soon and this week it might just happen. I’m a BYU fan but UCF has fast athletes.
BYU fan, have been attending games since i was a kid and they expanded the stadium in 1982 or 83. Every game remaining makes me nervous, it comes with wanting to remain undefeated. If UCF beats us, it's not a fluke or because it was a trap game, it's because UCF is good enough to beat us. But BYU is a little dufferent this year and really should win. BYU by 9...but definitely anything could happen...cuz football.
I expect BYU to win. They have a really good front seven. It's the strength of the team. The run defense is generally very assignment sound. I think they'll give up yardage against UCF but they won't break often. Similar in some ways to the Kansas St game. Its possible that UCF wins. I do think UCF is better than their record. But BYU is really good and built for the one dimensional offensive attack UCF brings. Gimme BYU in this one.
What analytics have BYU at 18th best against the rush? I'm showing them as 64th best in rushing yards surrendered which oddly was what Iowa State was at last week before UCF sent them down to 98.
18th in defending the run in more advanced stats. Yardage surrendered doesn't tell the whole story. Like BYU gave up over 200 yards ont the ground to Kansas St but Kansas St only scored 9 points. So...
BYU barely beat a three and three Oklahoma State team and Iowa State barely beat a three and three UCF team, why would we expect BYU in Florida to be anything but a very tight game In a hot, humid, low altitude climate where BYU is not used to playing? I’m real nervous.
BYU fans are always nervous because historically, they've played down to their opponent's level. Hoping they can keep their heads and play *their* game, and lastly, don't run that stupid trick play that every other team already knows to expect.
Don't pick Tech. Our defense is worse than TCU's. They are going to tear us up with their passing attack. People forget, we still nearly lost to TCU last year when they had a very TCU comeback in the 4th quarter. We could lead for most of the game and still lose by 10.
Remember Liberty University? Not gonna quit poopin' 'em 'till we're national champs. We're 16th rushing defense, but that's after dropping several spots after OSU almost destroyed is with the rush. They're what, 70th at that? UCF is 4th in the run offense. Iowa State has better defense than us, almost lost.
You have to remember that we as a people have a martyr complex. We got driven out of the only country with freedom of religion in its founding documents and were forced to settle in a part of Mexico even Mexico didn’t want. We will never trust nice things will happen to us.
Anybody who’s been at BYU fan for more than a little while, knows it’s completely warranted. They have an Incomparable ability to lose games they should win
@@SenorHomeslice Don't know much about your "martyr complex", but as a college sports' fan in W. PA, I like watching BYU football regardless of faith tradition, geography or time zone. It's fun to watch and I like your good sportsmanship when playing an opponent. When playing BB in the WAC, I remember and really enjoyed those exciting games against Gonzaga and St. Mary's.
BYU fan here, I don't know, I'm kinda scared this week.
Me too son!
Be not afraid, only believe 😅
This is just past trauma speaking. Go find someone to talk it out with and come prepared Saturday for a blowout win.

BYU by 10+.

BYU can do it as long as they do assignments and stay humble as they are doing.
I’m a byu fan and this game makes me nervous . Also BYU are 64th in the nation is Rudy defense .
I hope WVU can pull it out, but injuries and horrid pass defense have me concerned. Very underwhelming season.

I think BYU beats UCF! Well rounded team and if they are going to peak, it needs to be at the end part of the season. Faith over Fear.

I worry any time BYU plays a team with a strong run game.

Big 12 needs a team like Pitt… got damn.. u want UConn dude.. it’s only about football
BYU by 17
It's beyond dumb that UCF is favored.
You’ve cursed BYU. They are going to lose now…
BYU 49 -3. BYU will destroy UCF in their stadium , just like what BYU did at Baylor, BYU will do at UCF.
Not going to happen if they win. It should be much closer.
Baylor game actually was pretty close at the end
