@trizzleseven The lines and patterns are written into the arrangement in 16 measures. The faders control the volumes, so flipping the faders is how I bring the sounds in and out. The buttons change the patterns routing through the faders usually from the basic pattern to the more elaborate one. The file is only 16 measures and keeps repeating so the transitional sounds volumes are controlled by the upper right 2 dials. This gives close to an infinite amount of control. Hope this helps. greetz
Some serious definite magic going on here folks! If you cannot get swung into the groove with this remix, then there's no help. 🤙🤙 Definitely 5☆ DJ MIKAL☆MAXX
Still keep lookin and hearin to your great work on an classique all time evergreen....and I looked this Video 1000times in the last years.... Now I'm lookin for your Midi-File to do another interpretation by myself.... So maybe you can give it to me I would appriciate it!!!!
Loved that mate love the funky bass, kick and claps. Best remix ive ever heard. Do you have a good quality mp3 you could send me so i can mix up a cd for the car ? Would really appreciate it😃
NICE VID!! NICE DEMOSTRATION!! 5* Damn I'm buying this unit... but what soundcard hmm, RME Fireface 400 or TC Electronic Impact Twin? :S (thinking impact twin is more for singers)
Absolutely great mixing. One basic question. In reason can or could one record that live mixing, e.g. say on a separate track record all the button pressing and slider controls your doing on the Novation SL25 MkII and then play back the complete mix? ok, maybe one more question. Are the pads both velocity and after touch/pressure sensitive?
The loops and patches are basically always on... I use the faders to control the volume for the individual channels of sounds. Watch it again and pay close attention to the faders... The buttons underneath the faders switch between the basic loops to the more elaborate ones... The dials tweak the sounds passing through the channels that the faders control.. Cheers!
I'm not familiar with the SL live way of doing things - i don't use software synths, or software sequencers. This is a controller that allows you to control a software synth, right? Where is the sequencing done? This is a great version by the way
I think it was started in Reason 4 but finished in Reason 5. The bassline is a sawtooth wave from Malstrom with compression, Scream 4 distortion, Eqs and effects. Cheers
Once the Reason file is loaded, there is no need for the mouse anymore, but it is a midi controller, so it doesn't play sounds. It just controls the program, so it depends how you program it to work and also which program you use. It does pretty much anything from the controlling aspect. As for the Reason software, You'll really need to know all the ins and outs before making good use of it, but it works with several other programs.
@Raener Thanks Raener. Midi controllers have come a long way then since I last used them. I guess I should start with Ableton and make up for lost time. Cheers!
I would get the one with more keys if that's what you like to use. It's supposed to work as a master controller However; I have not done anything with those features... I like the 2 octave because I want my hands near the faders and dials at all times. Cheers
Great work buddy! :) I have a question. How du you work with the fades and cymbal stuff? Are they triggered with buttons or are they placed in the set on certain positions? Greetz
The pads are velocity sensitive unless you change them in the SL editor. As for recording the knob turning, it should be possible with any program. I know its possible with Reason 4. I just like recording it this way because it forces me to do everything manually and it takes a lot of practice.
You have "Reason 6" in the Tags. I wonder if you made any sounds in there, because the sound is really "fat" somehow. If you made the bassline there... is it made with thor? I am also a Reason user, but I am kind of a noob and I always end up in mostly flat, nothing saying sounds when creating them by myself ^^ To the video: Very very nice, good work!
Absolutely superb. One of my favourite ever tunes and you've nailed it! Brilliant work :-)
This is one of the coolest talented things I've ever seen
Dudde - this is really nice. You have surprised me by not actually wrecking it. More than I can say for (ahem) others on here. Kudos.

sick shit mate.. are you using any other hardware equipment for live sessions?
props man! you have skill!!

This is really amazing - the remix is better than the original. You should make a tutorial or something :).
This is pretty good. You should put up a "making of" video.
@Armani4c Thanks
I only use Reason to play the tracks. Wavelab 4.0 was used to record the live input.
I think it was started in Reason 4 but finished in Reason 5. The bassline is a sawtooth wave from Malstrom with compression, Scream 4 distortion, Eqs and effects.

Better than original!
just incroyable 😨
Nice remix mate but i want to ask is this all done in Reason or do you use other daws as well ?
thanks
Fucking Nice Bro!!

damn, impressive..:)
Better than the original one! Awesome! Amazing.

Thanks man
@Senj1n
Thanks
I use 2 Turntables/CD decks and a 3 channel mixer in conjunction with Reason.
@Raener
Thanks Raener. Midi controllers have come a long way then since I last used them.

I have a question. How du you work with the fades and cymbal stuff?

@thewakz I love the controller, but I dont use Automap. I use it like a standard midi controller.
Cheers
Thank You.
