I had to get me the Japanese Saturn because the logo and startup are so much better than the US. And it’s white/light gray instead of jet black. The Hitachi does have the best overall though. No lie.

The pieces aren't flying as directly towards the viewer also. It reminds me of how SEGA made a softer Sonic CD soundtrack for the Western audience.

It's a bit strange why Hitachi would want to make their own version of the Sega Saturn, because the original version had Hitachi SH-2.
Because their Saturns came bundled with a VCD card and, well, they were already partnered with Sega anyways.
