We are back with another walleye fishing video! In this video Shelby and I are targeting BIG Great Lakes Walleyes. The day starts out with a bang and slowly becomes more challenging. We appreciate Shelby being in the video. Think she needs to be in more.
The genuine enthusiasm Shelby brings to the videos is so infectious and relatable for the vast majority of your viewers. I guess "production quality" matters to some folks, but seeing this through the eyes of an average, every-day fisherman is cool.

I think Shelby is an import from a southern state. I spent a week in Green Bay walleye fishing and every night we went to different restaurants/bars and we only saw 2 women that we would call average looking in the south. All the others were 400 lb stark white, heavily tattooed. But I guess if you live on cheese Kurds and beer that is what happens
I spy Loon's Foot Marine..... Tom if ever you visit Oneida, head a bit further north and try Eastern Lake Ontario and the St. Lawerance River basins.. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.

I love watching your videos, I got a question for you, I'm fishing a lake where the walleyes are suspending 8 to 10 feet over 30 to 40 of water, what baits should i throw?
Last year I watched a deer swim from about that pontoon over to land on the left, crazy

Yeah there are a lot of plastics that work on the search bait
My PB is 31" 11 lbs 10 oz. I sure wish I could find a 33" somewhere in MN

Tom, when fishing big, expansive, bodies of water, are you just drifting down the desired depth range and “searching” for fish as you go? Or how are you targeting a specific location in such a large body of monotonous water/structure?
A lot of times I'll get in big areas near structure and just start scanning very fast with side imaging and Live.

How did you get the 3/8 search bait to stop fouling on the cast? I just started using it and tie direct I would say 1 out of 3 casts gets fouled.
Same thing happens to me. I stopped using it.
You have to lob it out there, and then slow the line down with your hand helps a ton.
Pushing your plastic or crawler up over swivel helps a ton too.
