I like her over a big half of the entire Hollywood Oscar-winning actresses (Maryl Streep, Reese Witherspoon, Jenifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts etc). Frances McDormand seems so natural, down to Earth and honest in explaining her emotions.

When we think of good actresses we always think automatically of Meryl Streep but we forget there are a lot of actresses like "Frances McDormand" that can do the job even to the point changing who she is by different accent from "Raising Arizona" to Marge, Chief of Police in "Fargo." She completely stunned me by her accent and mannerism that took this film to a different level - I knew then - she would win the "Oscar" and the second "Oscar" in
"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri." She is just amazing!

First time I saw her was in the '80s in a movie called Chattahoochie where she co-starred with Gary Oldman. She was riveting and I loved her look - she was so real in a way that eclipsed any other working actress I'd ever seen. And the more I watch Fargo (never get tired of it) the more I'm blown away by what she did with that part.

Charlie's a treasure, even if he messed up. Who else have we had with his intelligence and sensitivity who could bring groups of other gifted people together for this kind of discussion. No-one, so far as I know. He should never have been "executed" for his "crime". I hope he makes it back somehow....And Frances is a national treasure also. May she go on forever....

Her anger is totally justified, I love Francis's role in this movie. She is one bad ass mama.
The scene at the end when she and the cop go after her daughters murderer is great. Because she changes her mind about getting revenge on the guy.
I think the cop just acknowledging that it happened and was willing to go after the guy who did it, was enough for her.
Police need to stand up and be our defenders. Fight crime man! It's not too late to change. You would want someone to defend your sister or daughter, if it happened to them.
But women, don't throw explosive cocktails through windows. You could go to jail.

Frances is so smart, it's gotta be a challenge, especially as women get older, to not patronize the perpetually adolescent male sensibity, regardless of craft. Sam looks like he's with her but maybe they are both kinda keeping an eye on the paycheck. Well, maybe a teeny bit. Lol.. But that might just be me.
