Whoever eventually wins will destroy the Conservative k Party for good .The Tories really needed some one like John Major ,a true moderate and not a werewolf.
It follows Sod's law that in the UK the party traditionally known as being the most rational and level-headed, especially with money, has now turned out to be the one they throw out first. I keep on having these theories about why the country is losing its mind. Sometimes i think it is mobile phones, sometimes the education system, sometimes the media. Maybe we are just cursed. Maybe the answer is if we stop the warmongering then prosperity and sense will return.
Despite the fact that I am not a fan of the Conservative Party, and that is putting it mildly, I do not wish to see it destroyed. Because under our TPTP election system, I fear what would take its place. It is also quite an achievement to have destroyed the longest lasting political party. There is still time for them to move back towards the centre, which is where UK elections are won from but yes I think their days are very much numbered.
We need electoral reform. I would prefer to see PR implemented. Hardly anyone else uses TPTP and I don’t believe it is particularly democratic. I would also like to see universal civic duty voting with an option to select none-of-the-above.
@veganbarnsley15 absolutely on all counts. FPTP is a ridiculous system and one where less than half of the registered voters turn out makes it even worse.
Problrm with both Badenock and Jenrick is. They ain't playing to moderate consrvatism, but those that support Farage, who on the whole are a collection of the worst sides of both traditional labour voters and the far right.
Somebody explain to the world why the Sunday Telegraph had a picture of Kemi Badenoch on their front page with skin so pale that the only shock was that her hair was still very dark and not ginger.
Bad Enoch is really awful however, she has the advantage of having the name Enoch, so will surely win as the old and senile membership, won’t be able to resist voting for that name, something they have been longing to do since Birmingham, April 20th, 1968. I have only just noticed the day and the month, was it a birthday rally?
to be fair to jenrick, kemi had got in to trouble/bother over hacking in the past, in general politicians are just looking after themselves, i wonder if they all claim their heating allowence this year and expences
Badenoch is so petulant. In common parlance, she is just a nasty piece of work. I don’t like either of the candidates, but Kendrick does appear to have some decorum. But it hardly matters, who becomes Leader. But just imagine Badenoch as leader of the opposition in Parliament. Listening to her sneering voice, especially at Parliamentary Questions Time. Heaven help us all.

I agree neither are pleasant human beings lets alone politicians.
The modern Tory Party deserves Bad Enoch and Generic (Insert descriptive epithet here).

It seems politicians expect a certain level of behavior from the public yet never keep themselves to that standard
Let Scotland go
The psychodrama continues. They will come back in one form or another. And so it goes on , on, on...... 🤔

I'm sure Badenoch and Jenrick are fine about their genders getting mixed up.

I think the expression is "a real piece of work"?
