In USA we have Jacks. You get a little red ball and 6 jacks. You bounce the ball and pick up one, then bounce, pick up two, etc, until you pick up all 6. And we don't have the hand flip at the end.
Doctors, also, recommend Jacks and Pick-Up Stix for seniors as it helps exercise your hands and eases arthritis.

Exactly. I’m not understanding the game Hazel and Terry are playing, but it seems similar to jacks.
I used to play it with 10 jacks. Bounce the ball , pick up a jack, then catch the ball. Do this until you've done this 10x in a row. Next is bounce the ball, pick up 2 jacks then catch the ball. Do this 5x until all jacks are gone. Then you move on to picking up 3 jacks and so on. You start back to 1 jack if you moved a jack while trying to capture the number(s) of jacks you want. Flip your hand when you've grabbed all 10. The top of your hand should catch all 10 then flip once more to catch them with your palm. You win if you catch all 10 in the end.

That game is called Jacks in America. We played that as children in the 90’s and my mom played it
as a kid as well. People dont play it in America anymore though. I 🤍Manon btw.. she’s beautiful!
we played here in Indonesia too. in my place it's called 'sihi' but with bouncing balls like golf balls, tennis balls etc. but no hand flip, we flip it on the floor instead since we use bottle cap/sea shells. guess the rules vary anywhere!

In Malaysia it’s called "Batu Seremban". For non malay/indon speaker, "Batu" means rock "Seremban" is a state capital of Negeri Sembilan on the west coast of peninsular Malaysia.
In India too!! In my language it's called gullo (Konkani) and its played with sea shells... but I'm pretty sure it's called something else in other languages here hehe :')

In China, we play it with small bean bag except there’s a twist.
Even in India we play this a lot in the villages I have played a lot of times but we didn't use these colourful balls but we used the stones , it was such a memory ❤️❤️
