A trek down memory lane for me. I made the Manang/Pokhara trek in November 1980 including the crossing of Thorong La. Thank you for the wonderful filming.
Beautifull....❤❤❤....I made it 1993,Pokhara to Muktinath and back....already more lofges, chai shops and cocacola...nut Kagbeni and Muktinath were the same...ladt time when I wss there, was in 2008 and 2009...sadly,after the road has been completed, and internet w wifi introduced in lodges...and lodges became hotels w luxury rooms...I have no eish to go back.there...better,save the old pics in my memories...it was magnificent and adventorous travelling...Nepal was so special back.then, because you can loose yourself in another dimension and past time...🔱🙏
I was a little boy living in Bhraka Manang in the 1970s . The Manang valley and Mustang had just been opened to the out side world , and that brought the first western trekkers to our villages . Although they came in trickles , I remember encountering a few of those westerners . They would always camp on the grass lawn in front of the village . And I remember when seeing those weird looking foreigners for the first time , I was scared and confused and I ran quickly back into the house 😂 Some elders would say “ these golden haired , white/red faced people are from the god realms “ And I believed them 😂 But I have to say the most memorable one was when a black person showed up amongst a Caucasian group . The whole village came to look at her . We the children would follow her every where . I wonder what she must have made of it 😊 Any way thank you for posting this and taking me back to memory lane , to my childhood . This clip has a lot of Mustang and not so much of Manang . I am sure you would have more clips of Bhraka . Please share them if you can . May be we might have brushed shoulders and you had filmed me even . 😊

Hi Ed, you have brought past to present. Reflected old Nepal in modern time. Wonderful memories to unimaginable dream. You greatly appreciated Nepalese hospitality. May our warm wishes be with you forever. Many thanks for sharing my NEPAL.
That was so rad. Thank you for taking the time to share that. Before REI and every conceivable piece of backpacking gear, there were sweaters, shoes, and whatever you could fit into a modest bag…
Now you can travel by car , jeep, motorcycles to whole ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK route. sadly this famous trek route could be closed one day because of the motorable roads are connected to the every village and town. Your videos are gems 💎 ❤❤ thank you and God bless 🙏
