I want to look more feminine. The sides of my head are flat so trying to give my hair any volume is extremely hard especially with my straight hair. I thought about getting a perm to give it more volume.
We all have unique features and faceshapes. I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, I hope you find a haircut that will suit your face. You can also learn about kibbe body types and faces. Watch aly art's videos she knows a lot about hair and makeup that might help. Try ignoring people who constantly judge you, we all are insecure. The society's standard of beauty and femininity are made in such a way that they can't be achieved don't pay attention to them😊
Dear Shawna, Recently I heard a quote, that really stuck with me and maybe it will help you as well: Don't try to be as pretty as she/ her/ someone else is, try to be as pretty as YOU. Which means, figure out a style which accentuates your good sides and hides your flaws. With a long face you will never look good in any petite or "cute" doll like hairstyles or clothes. Instead, try for something that will fit you well, e.g some soft curtain bangs that can make your face look shorter, etc. Hope you get what I'm trying to say:)
Ah, Shawna, I, too have that long "horse face" or so I thought and tall. I'm now into my sixties and was looking at photographs of when I was in my twenties. I was stunned at how very attractive I was. My legs were long and looked fabulous in jeans. I wasn't beautiful, but pretty enough to turn heads. It's a total waste of time to judge yourself as you think others judge you. Love your difference but most of all is to respect who and what you are. I wish I had felt about that young woman in the photos as I feel about her today.

I just appreciated this vid included other examples too so I don't feel like im seeing the same stuff Ive seen before. Nothing against her personally. It's like psychology books using the same examples over and over again to teach a concept. Something new. Feels like they put more effort in that way.

Sorry I disagree, I have a long face and the long bob a little past my shoulders is the best style for me! You need to start thinking outside the box. I have wide shoulder so a long bob helpe detract from my head size to shoulders. You need to include the width of a woman's shoulders neck to her head shape!
You could possible adjust it to look good , the bangs will help to balance it nice. And the side bits to be around the jaw line. Possible will work quiet well.
