I just wanted to take some time to tell you what a fantastic video this is. I used to live in Fargo until I moved to Moorhead, but I go to Fargo once in a while. My favorite store in Fargo is Electric Underground. Anyways, great video! Have a wonderful day, and keep up the good videos.
Yeah, it is very different in that regard. We do have some cities in the USA where living car-free is easy and even easier than owning a car, but most of the country has been developed for ease of transport in private passenger cars with very spread-out cities resulting in low population density. The densest city in the upper midwest region is Minneapolis (420k people) and it's only around 8,000 people per sq mile for instance, but they have a good bus system and 3 (soon to be 4) commuter rail lines. Most small US cities with high pedestrian traffic are college or tourist towns. Ann Arbor, MI, Madison, WI, Champaign, IL, Burlington, VT, Traverse City, MI, Iowa City, IA are some that come to mind.
I wish you had driven to more parts of town, up to NDSU and the airport and back down to the southside and along the interstates to get a wider view of the area. I grew up there but moved away, and the city has grown and changed so much!
Looks quite well looked after. Myself and my wife are looking move to N Dakota within the next few years and stuff like this is really helpful. Cheers.
Love it. Grew up here in the 70's. Seeing Rush, 2112 tour in 1976, First job at the Old Broadway. great place to live and grow up. Oh those darn floods. Last visit was 2011, I miss the fishing, Oh how I miss the fishing! I watched them build Bank of the West @ 2:27 That Dairy Queen @ 4:40 on the left in Morehead has been there forever! The red brick building @ 7:30 was a hotel and where I saw my Dad for the last time in 1970... Thanks for the ride down memory lanes! SKOL p.s. Hey Kevin, Randy, Julie, you still live their?
I used to live in Fargo for school. This video only shows the downtowns of Fargo-Moorhead which looks urban but if you get out of those small areas it either looks very suburban or rural, pretty quick too.
Just got an apartment in Fargo and will be moving there come September. I love it already! Probably because I live in Los Angeles and I can't wait to get the heck out of here.
2:45 --- Fryn' Pan restaurant! I loved their food back in the 90's. Glad to see they're still in business. I never liked the location over in Moorhead though.
Just checking in with any and all walking video people. Started up my own channel with Philadelphia Walks. So beautiful to see towns outside of major city life. 🌆
@@yungdon1934 Haha I kinda agree. I used to live there and the place gets depressing during the winter. The plowing sucks and the temperatures are crippling and this is coming from someone who lives in Minneapolis. Everyone I knew including myself got in an accident because of the "plowing" job they do. I also smelled cow shit in the air during the summer too which was no good.
As someone living in *Larissa, Greece* with its terrible asphyxinatingly narrow roads, passages and pavements, overcrowded cafes with tossed chairs and tables outside blocking your walking and you feeling like kick them out of your way, crazy neurotic drivers that can't drive, with its terrible grafitti, rotten semi-demolished buildings and extremely nervous tiny miserable weakling worms of people that even actually annoyed you at inappropiate night hours 1 year ago I can attest that Fargo is a peaceful city and ideal place for me.
I am most impressed. You drive for so long meeting so few people walking outside. The exact opposite of what is happening in my country Greece, were even in small towns of 20.000 you see even in winter so much people outside. Also, the city is so spread out which is also kind of strange for us. Of course you have so much space available...😄 while my country I don't think that is bigger from the combination of Montana, North and South Dacota 😄... Some nice traditional buildings were interesting also.
Downtown Fargo is the worst, the houses are really bad and dirty more in the south-ish side is better because the scenery is great and people are really nice like holding the doors, greeting you, saying good morning, and having manners. Highly recommend moving to North Dakota West Fargo.
It's because of lockdown or that quiet all the time? I am from NYC and little bit strange that city can be as slow paced. Interesting. I want to try to live there to see how I would like it. Interesting. No public transportation seems to exist. Thanks for posting it. Very useful video.

Wdym you go to Fargo once in awhile 😭 you’re literally a mile away! That’s so crazy to me
I am from Spain and one thing that strikes me when I see videos of some cities in the United States is that you hardly see anyone walking the streets.

Not many
People will be walking around haha
@@goosefukulardeath7300 Well, that also gives them a certain appeal.
@@TheLoner70503 i lived in that city for 5 years. Beautiful memories the best of America my friend
You can't walk here in the winter, you can get frostbite in a couple minutes
I recall my mom taking me to Fargo on shopping trips a few times a year in the early/mid 80s, when we lived in northwest MN. Good memories :)
Hi
I love small town living. You’re in and out of downtown in 2 minutes and it’s just great overall
Fargo is a nice town, light traffic and can get anywhere pretty quickly. Nice small town vibes
At 4:00 mark I lived in the apartments on the right above the green roof in the mid 90's. Thanks for the memories!
Some places, of Fargo, reminds me of some areas of Winnipeg! Anyhow, great video again, almost like I am with ya driving around! 😄😁
I was thinking the same thing
They're pretty identical, even the weather and architecture
Lol, TH-cam auto played the Winnipeg video of the same channel after I finished watching this
Neato! Thanks for documenting this city!
I cross that veteran bridge every day. Moorhead and fargo. Love 😍
It's beautiful place for me.
Thanks sharing the video.
Title needs to be modified to say "Downtown" Fargo.

It has!! Where did you move to? I moved to Minneapolis but this town has my heart
Me, too. Was hoping to see NDSU, as I went there 1978-80, then went to NCSU to finish up. I loved Fargo.
