My second walk as part of a long weekend of camping at Halse Farm on Exmoor. From the tent, I walked over Winsford Hill and down to Tarr Steps. Then up to Withypool Common, over and down towards Landacre Bridge and back across the River Barle via an "interesting" river crossing...
This was a repeat of a walk I did with two friends in January 2019. I'd been wanting to get down here and film it for such a long time. I hope you enjoy the video.

    Thanks Olly.
Very nice video etc. I bet your feet enjoyed it when you waded through the river though. I look forward to your next video. 👍

Olly, a pretty claggy start with more glorious mud and friendly cows🐮😊 Loved those really cool.looking bridleways and rolling green hills. A great wade across the river which definitely looked safer than the stepping stones (though would love to see you try them😊) A lovely peaceful walk and it looked like your campsite was just as peaceful😊

Thanks, Gerry. I really did enjoy that river crossing - it doesn't show on camera with the built in stabilisation but I very nearly fell backwards as I plunged halfway across! 😂 If a company sent me some "ultra sticky" boots to try, I might be tempted to try those stones... But they are very angular towards the far side.
Thanks very much for watching, as always and I hope you have a good week.

Excellent amble/ramble through some beautiful countryside, must get my arse back up to Exmoor sometime.

Thank you for watching, Si. I know Exmoor doesn't always feel quite as remote as Dartmoor or even Bodmin Moor but I always tell people it's worth exploring. Glad you enjoyed the video and hope you make it back there before long. Also, hope you're having a good week.

It sounded like you enjoyed this area Olly. I have to say Exmoor looks like a place I'd enjoy. Not sure what the mushrooms were myself. You have to be sure before tucking in. You have to be sure about them stepping stones to. better to walk across than end up in the drink. Yeah, fabulous walk - got a nice vibe from it punchbowl and all. Take care buddy. Mark

Thanks, Mark. Glad to hear you got a good vibe from it. I know that some people find me 'difficult' and awkward. I can only be me so I always appreciate the support. I also imagine you'd like Exmoor. Beyond the train to Taunton, I'm not sure how you'd get on to the National Park?
I did particularly enjoy this walk even more than Simonsbath the previous day. Anyway, I hope you're having a good week. I'll be starting my Cleveland Way series next. All the very best!

@@WalksWithOlly It's your sensitivity that attracts me Olly. I can't often get along with fly people. I'm sure it's easy enough to get into the park. I just checked for buses from Taunton into Minehead. They run regular. Hike from the town then. Hood to hear you enjoyed it. I look forward to the series. Peace.

Thanks, Nigel. You're probably the second person to ask about a compass video in recent memory. I did a "basic navigation" one about a year ago but I'll see what I can do.
Thank you, as always. My next video should be the start of my Cleveland Way series. Hope you're having a good week and all the best.
