I think to some snobby artists, it’s not the subject being painted, it’s the method used to paint. To them using a sponge or any other implement other than a brush isn’t pure art. How pathetic & sad can one get.

But to a nonartist like me, its doest matter how they do it, as long as the result somes out good. Good if they can make every little detail with a brush, bravo.
