I was watching on the live stream. As soon as the camera panned onto the car, my heart was in my throat. I was so glad to see Billy climb out of the car. He certainly is a lucky man to walk away from that one. You should share the video with GoPro as a testament on their durability. Maybe they'll sponsor you, but I doubt it, they're tight wads! I certainly didn't expect to see any video from his car at all, and was absolutely surprised that is here. I'm just so thankful that Billy is ok. Unfortunately, the car is probably nothing more than a display piece now for the open house.
Mike did a fine job. I'm sure there were lots of new cars out there with top notch equipment. Many teams probably spent at least twice as much as the winner's purse paid, just for this race. Seems to be the way of life for the teams with deep pockets. Long distance races are always difficult to prepare for. You never know how the track will change.

I’m so thankful for safety improvements like custom seats with the wrap around head rests and the HANS device that Billy was able to walk away. I’m afraid if this accident happened prior to the 2000’s it may have been a very different outcome. Thank the good Lord it wasn’t.
Glad to see your brother made it out ok. That is the importance in safety equipment. Cars can be replaced. Good job on video, that showed how violent it is in a wreck. God bless

20 years ago that crash would have been so much worse. Happy he's OK. My dad raced against your dad a lot at east windsor (I think we're about the same age) and that feeling watching a horrific crash is one of the worst

Glad Billy is OK and thanks for updatjng us, Mandee. Rough and long night for sure. Very thankful for all the work and stress you handle so we can see this up close.
All the 2020 bad luck was for a reason, Billy needed some luck last night and he got it. Watching from home saw the car on it's side could see the yellow and blue knew instantly who it was. So relieved to see him standing on the track taking off his helmet. He's lucky to be alive.
Watched the whole weekend on DTD. Was sorry to see your Dad having a really hard time. Couldn't believe what a hard hit Billy had! Thank goodness that the car was built right, and Billy smart enough to wear all the best safety gear he can. Probably saved him from serious injury. (Thank you Lord!) Mike really seemed bummed out, but he finished and it wasn't further back than where he started. Back in my former racing life (you know horse drawn with wooden wheels),. had a head-on crash into of earth embankment. It's more than 40 years ago, but I remember the feeling of the car still accelerating. I do remember the adrenaline rush, and tightening of my sphincter muscle. Don't care how brave you are, it's frightening! The lure of the big-buck races is hard to ignore, but if you have a mediocre performance, the wear and tear on you, and the equipment is huge. (As Billy and his car owner found out). Glad all is okay, and best wishes this coming weekend!

Thank God for Billy Jr. Years ago that would have been tragic,that car was built super.i was on the first aid crew when a drivers throttle stuck at Middletown,many moons ago,and that result was fatal.

I notice all the new york tracks are always hard and slick. It looks like racing on ice from inside the car. Mike did okay for the conditions. Billy had one hell of a hard hit and I'm so glad he is okay. Felt sorry for Dad. He just can't seem to get any luck anymore.
First time coming across your channel (came up in my TH-cam home page - so you know how I found it) and REALLY great content!
The onboard/stacked onboard shots are incredible, the b-roll, all that great stuff!
I am definitely glad he was okay after that hit, geeeez! I've mainly worked in drag racing, from Sportsman to professional, but I love dirt racing, also work on a Sprint car, etc... only point being I have seen some pretty nasty crashes and this one was definitely up there..on the other side, seen plenty of crappy videos and video editing (NOT here! lol)
Anyway, like I said before just really really glad he was all right, no serious head injury or anything like that. As soon as I saw sparks from what appeared to be the brake and it not slowing down.... hope you guys are back out and kicking ass before you know it...and I feel for you on those damn GoPro cases! 😂 🤘🏻

I don't need to tell you how grueling running a full race schedule (or multiple) is, lol, especially with the 'higher level' stuff (so to speak) of dirt track racing like you guys run! It was a LOT of work (but also a blast) when I was doing NHRA top fuel/funny car stuff on a multi-car team, but even then, (including match race or special events) you aren't running potentially 90 to 100+ races a year, haha... (but I really enjoy when I get to work on sprints, etc. as well) - but anyway, thanks for responding and thanks for the awesome dedication you and your family have to the channel and the sport you guys love! I'll say it again - extremely well done coverage, some of the best on board shots I have seen and edited - I do have a hunch that you will be adding more GoPros to the cars (or similar) because I am sure you have a lot more ideas you want to do.

I definitely wish I still lived up north in the Indiana so I could go to some of the bigger races with dirt, drag racing ,etc. and be closer to home base has for race teams (like in the Indy area for example) -- Granted I moved back and forth from there a few times lol-- I really do dig the commentary from yourself, your family, significant other and all that sort of good stuff as well as your dedication! It's generally not hard to find serious dedication at a racetrack (well..there are exceptions, haha) but life in general...well..haha when I've had to hire people and stuff its usually a 🤦♂️ 😂 - your channel is definitely going to keep growing, even if people don't know or recognize the last name 🤘🏻

First thing I would like to say is I glad your brother is okay. I was there with my daughter but she got cold in the first feature. So I had to walk her home. I came back up the 200 lap race. I have to agree with you it was cold.

i was watching it on tv and they showed the car but it was only the bottom of the car but then he popped up and I saw his suit and i screamed in my head lol. I thought he was badly hurt because he start to wobble and almost fell. I'm glad that he is good

Would like to hear how the heck you guys make this pay. What does it cost to enter, cost of tires,fuel etc per race as well as prize monies that you can earn
Basically most people dont. Hope someone else with a lot of money pays for as much of your stuff as possible. If you are lucky enough to find someone to pay for most of it, that person is definitely loosing money, but it makes them happy to sponsor the car/team.

I saw Billy sparking going into 3 and hit the wall and my heart was in my throat. Relieved isnt a strong enough word when I saw him get out of the car. Glad to hear he is doing as well as he can be considering.
Hope this race becomes an annual thing, I have seen alot of 200 lappers at Syracyse, Orange County, and others that were freight train snoozers. For the whole 200 laps there were cars all over the track. There were guys running low, middle, and top all race. 2 and 3 wide through the field and not just on restarts.
I know you guys are disappointed on the results but would love to hear your thoughts on the racing and track surface it self and your thoughts on the event as a whole. I beleive Deyo could make this a big annual event.

I was there..... Nasty wreck. So glad Billy was uninjured. Naturally, I was worrying about Billy. Then you, BP1, BP3, just everybody in that group of yours.
Wrecks like these, no matter who wrecked, it proves time & time again that safety has changed for the better. Even in the past 10-15 years. The safety technology is just better. That's proof.
