Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before.

Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: • HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORL... and this one: • HOW TO SAVE MONEY FOR ... to learn more about my story.

Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

Clean, hygienic, luxurious, places and hotels, thats all you need in India when you are a foreigner and not poor and hate dirty shitty places. If someone has too much complaint about the difficulties in India, those should contact @Ivana. Thank you ivana for this great video.
Andrea C, if you go by World bank's statistics from 2016, about 20% people in India are below poverty line.
No one is denying that conditions for the poor are bad, it's that that alone becomes the focus for some foreigners'. "See how poor they are." "See how happy/impoverished they look!"
If you really think staying in a good hotel is denying yourself of a real India experience, then maybe you could try living in a slum. But after your vacation is over, you go back to your own 'normal' life. That would be poverty tourism or poverty porn as some like to call it.
I would suggest better not mock poor people by trying to 'slum it up' yourself. Observe reality and thank your fate for getting privileges you have in your life.
Andrea C I know and I agree, but some foreigners don't like India that way, so why do they visit India? Many people come only to see slums, they do it deliberately and mock them in very bad way. There are so many difficulties to make this country to develop a country which is so much poor, illiterate in number. They should give some words of hope or sympathy, all I see is mocking, bad attitude towards everything. They should avoid india all the way. So my comment was only for them who can't accept India as it is now. It needs time. There's so many things to cherish India for other than those. Look from East to West and north to south, you'll find it. Thank you sir🙏🙏
Andrea C oh really then why don't you live in a slum next to a dirty pile of garbage the next time you visit India. You want to experience real India right ? You are talking Poverty as if it doesnot exist anywhere else except in India. Every country has a poor population but it gets largely unnoticed or gets hidden but thats not the case with India. Whatever we are, whatever we have everything is shown to the world. We are not afraid to show that we have poverty and crimes.
Actually its like you foreigners who visualise India to be extremely poor and different. You can never accept the fact that the country is improving in all aspects.
You go to the SE Asia or anywhere else which also has a poor population and live in a luxurious place but even if you can afford a 50 dollar room and experience real India but you people will take a mere 8 or 10 dollar room and say India is poor , unhygenic.
@Andrea C - You seem to have lot of negativity. Why bother wasting your and other's time on these vlogs? If we go by your logic half of Indian population is poor, so other half 0.7 billion people are middle class or above that which is double the population of US.

I stayed in India for 3 years. I got something different than I expected.
Our media has ruined the image of india.
Not your media but British media only because of colonial past .British still has theory that colonialism is necessary .
India is like world in itself which western media don't elaborate while reporting India .In India you can get everything ( all weather ,riches , languages ,etc )
Try to visit Andaman and Nicobar islands Atleast once......your vlogs are soo good....

I mean no offense but I think you are mistaken...At a distance of 20 km from Chikmagalur and 23 km from Baba Budangiri (by road), Mullayanagirilocated in Chikmagalur district is the highest peak in Karnataka with an altitude of 1950 meters. Regarded as the highest peak between Himalayas and Nilgiris BUT Anamudi is a mountain located in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the highest peak in the Kerala and South India, at an elevation of 2,695 metres and a topographic prominence of 2,479 metres....

In Himalayan states India gets more cold than Netherland .Check temperature of kargil in India .

The highest peak in South India is Aanamudi in Iddukki district in Kerala.

Jilebi is not traditional breakfast in Chikkamagaluru and around at all, but akki rotti, Thatte idli, Kadubus, sweet Jackfruit dosas are but I guess they wanted to please the guests and of course it's Taj group or similar! :)
We own coffee plantation near Sakaleshpura. Harley estate has guest accommodation, hope you visit in Summer. Monsoon time is a mess there, need rain boots to walk around. Belur (my birth place), Halebidu, Hampi next?
