Lexie changed Mark. He just slept around before her, even with Addison, I don’t honestly think he ever loved her. The only person he ever fell in love with was Lexie. They never stopped loving each other and always found a way back to each other. It’s tragic but beautiful that the last eyes she got to look into was Marks. And she heard him say how in love with her he was. And died with a smile on her face knowing all he wanted was a life with her. I don’t think Mark would have survived without her and the writer said the same and that’s the main reason they wrote him out of the show because they knew he’d never get over Lexi. He wanted to get straight to her and was okay with dying because it meant he got to be with her again. Am so glad they found each other. They’re together in the after life and they truly were meant to be. ❤
