Superbly stylish on the smooth Brandon circuit. Not a lump or bump in sight. Great rider.

I'm pleased to say I have had the privilege watching Ole race at the county ground at Exeter many years ago with the great Ivan Mauger. As Ivan said a very tough opponent, Ole had no trouble racing on Exeter's banked track he is one of the greatest. Thank you for sharing this video.

A lovely video dear friend. My childhood favourite was Ivan Mauger at Hull (still live here)but I learnt to appreciate speedway more not because of start to finish wins but because of the sheer courage of these guys and Ole certainly was at the very top there.🙂❤️

The Waterden Road track is still remembered as providing some of the fairest, closest racing in Speedway. This was confirmed (even in the early 80's) by the amount of BL rider 'profiles' contained within the Speedway Mail/Star that more often than not named Hackney as their favourite track. You only had to look at Brandon during the same era to see the influence Olsen had on preferring a slick set-up. By the way, I've added my dream team on SpeedwayPlus - and Olsen is in it.

I was talking about Olsen´s reign as track curator - NOT the concept of the GP Series. His tracks were prepared ultra slick - a little trick he´s been using at Voyens for years to benefit Danish riders - a.k.a. ´start tarts´.
Also, as a supporter of speedway for 36 years and now a machine examiner for the SCB, with all due respect I´ve probably forgotten more about Speedway than you´ve ever learnt.

@EssexBoy696969 being a speedway follower for 36 yrs is a long time and being a machine examiner is a good job but that doesn,t mean u have forgotten more than i,ll ever no, iv been following speedway for 47 yrs and being an ex rider myself i think i no a little bit more about tracks than u, if u think olsens tracks were bad u should hav seen the way the late burt busch set up hackney in the early 80s and i managed

    Sorry...................but I didn't really understand a word of that.
As for looking after engines - I assume that you think I don't know anything. Strange that - as I'm an accredited SCB Speedway Machine Examiner.
