I’ve seen about 50 survival kit videos and this is my absolute favorite small-scale kit. Thanks very much for making this video. 🏔

I have always encouraged placing a photograph of the people that depend on you in your kit. I also believe that without the mind set, everything will be unbearable. Love and revenge are timeless motivators. If you are captured and searched the photo will be used to torment you, and the cuff key will invite extra scrutiny, if the situation dictates that a cuff key of lock picking set is essential, it should be concealed internally. You hit the nail on the head when you said that your kit should be carried on you as opposed to in your pack, you may have to lose your pack to evade capture. Here is wishing that you never need to use your kit. ATB Bill Resist and then Resist some more!

Love your kit ! Maybe consider a small container of ibuprofen. They sell those small ones that look like a Chapstick container. Head ache or pain on top of an already stressful situation may cloud the mind. Also an imodium , never know :) But great kit and I really enjoy watching your videos, thank you.

Great kit brother. I will be getting one of those Solkoa tins soon to build another kit.. They are by far the best for survival kits of the "altoids" tin size..

Pretty good kit. But emery cloth? Use a rock? Do a video showing me how you light those lifboat matches with those items. The striker strip on the bottle or box is chemical based. There is no friction head on those matches as far as I know.

Cognition: Are you constantly observing and thinking, even when you're doing boring things?
Competence: Do you know about the area? Do you have a mental map? Are you real clear about what's safely edible and what kind of critters live there? Do you know how to use those tools in your kit, and do you know how to get by without them?
Communication: A quick email saying 'I'm going to be at this grid for these days' before you go can save your life. Take note to communicate to yourself by writing things down, marking your trail, keeping tally of days.
Condition: What kind of shape are you in? What are your physical vulnerabilities and how are you going to compensate?
Care: Checking for ticks and not letting that scratch go unattended is important. You can still brush your teeth without a toothbrush. Campfire charcoal and water works pretty good for washing your hands. Invest in daily maintenance of that body, you're likely to need it.
Confidence: Keeping your spirits up and focusing on the (given) fact that you're going to make it through no matter what is important.
After attending to this list is when I start thinking about the external 'C' list tools I'd like to have along.

This is undoubtably one of the best survival kits on youtube! One negative though - the mini Maglite - not even an LED version - terrible! I kind of want to send you an upgrade just so I know you don't rely on the Mag :-) Thanks for sharing. Atb. Alex.

potassium permanganate - check out its many uses. Seal the lid with electrical tape to keep out water. // This must be related to your on-body carry kit and your belt order kit: these are layers of the same system. / You can also sharpen the first 1" to 2'' inches of the hacksaw blade.

As far as survival kits that are already assembled go these kits the way they come are outstanding, right up there with the GearPods Wilderness Survival Kit. I haven't found any out there that come close to these two kits. They are a little pricey but I think they are well worth it Scout. Great video, very detailed and straight forward. I will be posting videos in the near future and I'm looking around for good cameras to film them with. Any suggestions? I've been told by several of my TH-cam buddies that the GoPro2 is the way to go. I hear the Hero3 is having a few issues.

If you are in chains, handcuffs or such .. do you really think they will let you have that box with you?? Hahaha .. well, nice to be an optimist.

BE CONSTRUCTIVE. I live in a terrorist-dominated area. ALWAYS Be prepared! Your comment however singular in thinking, a survivalist mindset, will also cover a broader subject called situational awareness and it's assessment in cost/risk of confrontation.
Mindset: If you are restrained and well-trained. You will have strategies for redundancy in layers hidden on your person beforehand and have the training to act purposefully for survival. If you have paid attention in the beginning of this video, having a survivalist mindset would trigger a logical assessment of your situation tying into your knowledge to some action from your psyche if your sane, and maybe if you are trained for the purpose of SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) which is a military solution and a training methodology and mindset,, not just tools and gear., you will survive.
Cause and Effect: If you are at the point of being in chains, handcuffs or such, "you put yourself in this situation!" In my opinion, you are either; legally, illegally or have cause to be detained and you will deal with the isolation and consequences of your captor. Stop singular thinking of a single situation, a single kit won't save your life, only you will.
Personal Comment: Get off your cloud and "when you (Dreem Walker) are in chains, handcuffs or such... If you've retained any survival knowledge and trained for any the above YOU will be confident and maybe an OPTIMIST."
Thanks to the creator and the man producing this video, solid channel, great information and great mindset! Keep it up brother!

      Prisoner/Inmate trick :
Hand Cuff Key should be in a small slit/opening inside the rear belt hem of your pants .
Exactly where your cuffed hands will be.
      Just a thought .
