  • The clinic includes detailed explanations on how to combat RPOs by pre-snap alignment and even explains several stop calls. The clinic starts with five principles for defending RPO offenses and moves on to pre-snap alignments against top spread formations. This is followed by game film and diagrams of the stop calls with detailed explanations.

I love this channel. Quick Question:
Does this conflict with how you're able to defend quick passing concepts. Like the last one against the Near Stack Twin Open, are you vulnerable to slant bubble, or double twin slant h back to the flat?

2-Read allows your overhangs to sit in the curl. You can run different coverages to match routes too. The stack would get a modified 2 look anyway to inhibit high-lows.

What about in a 3 down, jack attached, single high with a rover cover 2?; Would the same principles apply if your rover is just playing up and not a true 2 high? FS is still apexing 1&1.
Also, really appreciate all the stuff you push out. This has helped me immensly.

If it is single high, you're basically stacking every receiver with a full cover down.

    Question
For a 3-4 4-3 defense vs an RPO offense
Which position on defense is the most important or staple to have?? Which level of the defense needs to be the strongest?

Your overhangs. Primarily your Ni & boundary Safety.

How would the blitz and bluff technique come into play in the 4-2-5?

Show interior or edge pressure. Give the O false keys. In the example of a Bluff, a loaded box only to throw into coverage.

@@MatchQuarters would I be too cautious if I didn't like cover 2 out of this formation? I'd prefer 3 or 4 coverage with my middle safety coming up as either a robber or someone to replace a blitzing backer. Could I take chances like that in a cover 2?

    Palms coverage?

Palms = Cloud or 2-Read in my terminology.
