    In 1972, we thought that we had productivity with a 5200 and 2 row - wow !!

    UNBELIEVABLE; 965 Hp on the 9900. Wow and we used to think our 4520 cranked up to 185 was a lot on our John Deere model 38. Chopper lot's of things have changed since 1974. Thanks for the video.

    we picked up a used 7350 this year and it came with two processors, 1 regular and the other is a sheer processor. that was the first time we ve seen a sheer processor and don't know what's better but we put the roller processor in this year to do corn. thought maybe the sheer processor was for really dry corn. I think Andrew would do a wonderful job operating the 9900 and Andrew may let you keep the 8600 so you could still chop.

    That's quite a CHOPPA! Back in 1981 at Empire Farm days they had a Stieger with a 6 row chopper mounted to the front it was impressive! It was two 3 row Hesston's married together running right off the Crank shaft! I think the biggest Deere at the time was a 4 row! who would have thought then there would ever be a 12 row! You should change the name to Farming Fixing Fabricating and wrecking Shit! LOL! Love the Videos!

I wish we videoed the tiling of that field so your viewers could see how wet the lower end of that field was last year.... it was so dry this year there's not much way of knowing if it worked... you also did a tillage video from that field in the spring... you should have just parked that 9900 in the shed next door for the winter and told caz you lost it

    Glad to see Deere has stepped up there chopper game. They always had awesome performance in hay/grass but just couldn’t cut in corn. We run a 980 Claas and I’m thinking that 9900 would be a close second to it. We went from a 7980 Deere to the 980 and that 980 was twice the machine the Deere was. That newer processor is how the Claas processor is setup with temp monitors and oil bath. I think you would love a Claas. You can even get them Greenstar and HarvestLab ready.

    • @FarmingFixingFabricating
      @FarmingFixingFabricating  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our 8700 will out chop a 7980. We ran both in the same field, I almost think a 8600 would maybe give the 7980 a little bit of a hard time. The silage tests that an independent company did showed the 9900 it performing the 990 in almost every category.

    • @Deere70Diesel
      @Deere70Diesel 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FarmingFixingFabricating that's good to hear! We may need to request a demo on a 9900. Last time they brought out a demo to run it was an 8800 I think, and it blew the belts off of the KP twice in 3 hours. That was one of the biggest reasons we switched was from blowing KP belts and we couldn't keep the KP together. We've been super satisfied with the claas and our dealership support with it. Wouldnt be surprised if we eventually switch back to Deere though

    My concern would be :
    Can the 9000 w/ 12 row give you the production greater then the 8000 w/10 row.
    Added expense of DEF ( alot of it while operating) bearing oil on the processor, and much larger engine maintenance that would be more involving and require greater dismantling just to perform the work.
    Seems like 2 rows more in production can not overcome the added fuel, fluids, and downtime involved.
    Make sense Andy?
    I for one would like to hear your thoughts, given your production experience and current outlay on performance in the field.
