Agreed. Some ideas are better explore and presented in science fiction. Contact is a great read that opens up the doors to new ideas. Great video.

I think this won't be any wrong to say "Look at that dot. That's here. That's home............" paragraph in the book The Pale Blue Dot is one of best literary masterpiece in world literature and the whole book is like saying what will happen in coming centuries. Everyone should read this particular book.

I'm finally getting around to Pale Blue Dot, and you're right. It's so good. I particularly loved the first section of the book, discussing how humanity tends to view itself through history as science sheds more and more light on nature. I'm so grateful Sagan left us with these books.

Thank you for motivating me to read those books. I added 2 of them to my to-read list and 1 book into my to-buy list.

Demon-Haunted World is pretty great. If you liked it, read Nonsense on Stilts. It's similar.

@@miketravelsnowhere6557 Absolutely! The author even states in the book that Demon Haunted World is one of his favorite books.

I mainly read physical books but I read ebook when waiting not that long or out I. Public or commuting, I listen to TH-cam wich has tones of audiobooks for free, but the plb is sometime to protect them from copyright law they take it down after a while, so I do that when I’m tired or busy or driving or something, then I write the folder on my Google document so I can carry the list of books iv read and listened to do I don’t have to buy seconds and it will save me money in buying books if I do it this way it saves space and bank book lol, and I’m a book buying addict, and sometimes I keep the, on my iPad and use my iPhone to see the lists of books iv read and listened to but Google focu, ents are better a lot of things.

Funny how people can read the same book and come away with completely different impressions. I found _Pale Blue Dot_ to be padded and dull, and highly inconsistent in his viewpoint. He kept wandering off topic and contradicting himself so frequently, it was a real chore to get to the end _The Demon-Haunted World_ was marginally better, and was at least consistent. I could not recommend either of them. Asimov's nonfiction is so much better, frankly.

Asimov's writing is amazing! I have never read his non-fiction though, but want to start diving into that (when I have time)
