Right now for AP you have the choice of Nashors>Riftmaker>Shadowflame for a Tanky AP build. Or Nashors>Shadowflame>Dcap for a more bursty build. In this game I did Riftmaker and bought defensive items so my dmg output could have been a lot better. But AP is still a very viable build overall!

I FIND ap varus too nerfed sadly :(

Its still very strong, you just need to make sure to auto attack more, and if you want more overall burst like before just do Shadowflame 2nd/3rd item.

Bein able to tank and deal damage at the same times
Could solo carry game but i dont feel this possible now
