- Today we build a custom fitted subwoofer box to house two 10” Hertz subwoofers, two 6x9 Hertz speakers, and a 600 watt amplifier in this 1986 Chevrolet K10 pickup. The entire box is built out of 1/2” MDF and 100% scratch built. Like and subscribe to see part 3 where the electronics get mounted and tested!
Thank you for sharing your drawing and dimensions. It gives us somewhere to start. 😎👍
You think these dimensions are close enough to mirror for our crew cabs?
Not too familiar with the crew cabs, I would imagine so but not positive
great video. very well made. looks factory!
you should make those boxes and sell them id buy one right now
drop the dimensions brother man
So you think this will fit behind the factory bench?
can you make it one? lol
👏👍I'll use this for mi 72 c10
I have a c10 1981.... with your sub box ....do you have to put the seat in the forward position in order to have the sub box in there
Would you share the dimensions of your box, I have an 84 K10 and I like the design of your box. Great job!
I’ve found If you want good right hard hitting Bass Seal boxes are the way! But they NEED POWER TO DO IT!!! I’ve always Needed more than what sub says. Or tilts week and no tight clean punch or rumble. But rumble is not perfect. Because it’s a sealed box....
But A GOOD 2 Ohm STABLE BASS AMP. SUBS IT REALLY DONT MATTER. CLEAN POWER AND BOX AMD THEN SUB ALSO IF YOU CAN.... FIBERGLASS THE INSIDE OF THE BOX SEALS IT UP AND ads strength and sound. Good luck
What size and length are the 3 mounting bolts to fasten to the back of cab?? M6 by how long? and is it also M6 u-clips??? Great job btw!!!!
Thanks! M6 u clips yes, bolts I believe were 1.5” long. Better off going longer than you need just in case, can always cut some off
My sons and have been looking for exactly what you have here. How much wood and what size did you need/use to make the boxes?
Underrated youtuber I love the Chevy k10 I want to do the same thing to mine if I get one
Great video
How can I get one? Built for me
what's the cu ft volume for each sub?
*polyfill
is that 1/2 or 3/4 MDF?
1/2”
